4,421 armed forces, police personnel to participate in Independence Day parade: Army Commander

Some 4,421 personnel of the armed forces and police will participate in the Independence Day parade this time, Commander of the Sri Lanka Army, Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo said today.
He told a news conference at the Government Information Department that 2,052 Sri Lanka Army personnel, 668 Sri Lanka Navy, 776 Sri Lanka Air Force, 549 Police and STF, 370 Civil Defence Force and 550 National Cadet Corps personnel will participate in the parade.
