Making a trinket box with Amaco air dry clay

*I can only afford Amaco Air Dry Clay for my classroom of 150 students. I would recommend Das Clay if you can afford it.
*Amaco Air Dry Clay, when drying, tends to shrink and change shape. It is best to fit the lid into the pot while it dries, using a plastic sheet to separate them so they don't stick to each other after drying.
* Painting on Amaco Air Dry Clay can be a challenge as it tends to peel. Use gesso, primers, and gloss varnish to seal the paint and prevent peeling.
