Huge thanks, our 28 year year old Ariston Combi wouldn't fire up for ch or hw this afternoon although was fine yesterday......our bungalow is being demolished by insurance company due to subsidence in c9 months....so im praying boiler lasts us that long...... .....A HUGE thank you to your video, we've increased pressure in less than one minute and boiler fired up immediately. Thank you Thank you Ps We do have boiler serviced every year but are still very grateful for longevity of our old boiler ....god bless her 😂😂😂
My boiler was reading error this morning, I thought oh here we go!trouble.then a quick search found your video and fixed it quicker than it took to write this message,So a big Thankyou, 👍
Just to say, huge thanks to your video, ive just reset pressure on our 28 year old Ariston boiler again today.....im monitoring the need for resets....#1 was 8 Jan 2024, serviced on 15th Jan and engineer said all looked ok, then i have had to reset it again today on 9th April.
If it's slowly losing pressure over a couple of months then you may have a very slow leak on your heating system. But it can be difficult to pinpoint if everything appears fine. Topping the pressure up once or twice a year is relatively ok but if it's regularly needing topping up, then that's an issue. Hope that helps Thanks for the comment Cheers Dan
@@dpjplumbing Hi Dan, Than you so much for your reply and info, so very kind of you. We will investigate. The entire bungalow is due to be demolished and rebuild due to subsidence by insurance (thank god) but planning is taking forever. I'm trying desperately to get everything eg boiler cooker etc to last until demolition. Cheers.
Thanks for this, I'm on a holiday park and lost hot water, a quick Google of the error code brought me here, and I've now got hot water again. Disaster averted!
Yes, all smart thermostats should be compatible with the Ariston boiler in its basic on/off mode. If you wanted to use a smart thermostat which uses OpenTherm to help make the boiler operation more efficient then you'd need to check that this boiler is OpenTherm compatible. Hives are basic on/off smart thermostat, so that wouldn't have any issues working with the Ariston boiler. Hope this helps, if you have any more questions, don't hesitate to ask. Cheers, Dan
It's hard to know for sure without seeing it but I'm guessing it's just the orientation on how the yellow lever was screwed onto the valve. If your boiler is working as it should, it's most likely fine.
On my boiler the cold valve is stucked didn't open. However the gas valve i managed to raise the pressure but I stupidly left it up to 3.🤦♀️ how can I drop it back? Thank you
You need to drain some water out of the heating system to bring the pressure back down. The easiest way is usually to bleed a radiator into a jug/container.
Do you know why?... Ariston clas one 24 continues to slowly increase the pressure even though the blue fill valve is closed. (The only reason can be that this valve is not closing well or can there be another reason?)
Can be a common issue of the blue lever valves passing very slowly. The easiest way to tell is to disconnect the hose bit and see if it continually drips. If they continue to drop when closed they'll need replacing
Hi, if you've followed the video it should be working. Without seeing it myself I am unable to give much more advice. It's possible the valve has seized and the plastic lever is spinning
It was working this morning and the gas tank was finished so i changed it It usually works normally as i change the gas but this time it was showing error 108 I followed the video but as i turn valve it doesn’t make any sound means no water is going in there
Thank you! You're my hero. It's happened for me 10minutes ago. It was very stressful for me because it's Saturday, 23rd December.
No worries, I'm glad it helped you out, have a merry Christmas!

The yellow valve is facing up on my boiler is this normal?

Its not working for me
Doesn’t change water pressure
No sound when i turn the valves
Can you please help

Can you help me through a video call or something if possible?

Please how do I lower the pressure? mine is at 2.1
If you can bleed a radiator into a cup/jug/container that would probably be the easiest way for someone who doesn't know what they are doing.
Thanks
The pipework is horrendous 😢
The pipework in the video?
