How beautiful that you have your mom and that you both do things together I miss my mother thank you very very much for the recipe it was very informative I will try to make it since I can't eat chips or anything have a wonderful wonderful day and God bless:)))
Super yummy these crackers...thank you so very much ...i make them sometimes as a gift to my friends...and your Mom reminds me so much to my Mom...she is 84 and is a kitchen magician too....
Awesome 👏🏻! Thank you for the video. I’m gonna try these real soon. Your mother is a delight. Thanks for the soft music in the background instead of overpowering the tutorial. Again, thanks!
Your Mum is much fun and beautiful! Yes, we do have salt and vinegar potato chips in the US. From now on they're crisps to me. But I have been to Canada for fish and chips, but we call that version of potato French fries here. I just have to make the seed crackers. Now I need some Zaa'tar and pink salt. Thank you so much for sharing with us. I am a new fan, for certain.
Thank you so much for posting. I had all the ingredients for these and made a batch straight away. They are very tasty and go great with cheese. I've tried a few low carb cracker recipes and these are the best. You didn't specify Celsius or Fahrenheit but as you sound English I presumed Celsius. I have a fan oven so adjusted down to 130°c and they cooked perfectly.
thank you for sharing your recipe secret. I just ordered a jar of Zaa'tar with wild thyme, sumac, sesame seeds & salt. And maybe the next time I'll try one with hyssop too. You seem like a wonderful daughter to your beautiful Mum! God bless both of you. Thanks again. I just subscribed to your channel. Our family loves crispy snacks and I've been testing a lot of no-flour crackers lately. Yours seem healthy and thanks for introducing Zaa'tar blend.
I dont think it puts anyone off to say it can get things moving lol. Some people are specifically needing something for that issue, so it is important to mention!
I wondering about Zaatar.. I'll try to find in supermarket online. For now on, I've just try to bake some crackers. My kids are lovely like it.. thanks anyway for the recipe.. stay healthy for you mostly for u dearest mum..
Thanks Ladies - from a little island off the US coast where we do most of our shopping online - what’s the proper correct name of that jar of your secret ingredient - the seasoning mix - the transcript has it spelled several ways - I’d like to order some but need to know the actual name - Is it ZARTAR? Or Zaa’tar or what ? Pity you didn’t hold the jar closer to the camera so we could read the label. Thanks again! Okay - I managed to find it Za’atar - made with Hyssop in Palestine… ordered some. Thank you.
@@PeppermintWellness - Thank you! Yes, I had never heard of this ‘spice’ before and was interested in trying it. Out here on the island we have to order a lot of things on-line because the local grocery provides all the ‘basics’ but not the ‘exotic’ items. We have a lot of Brazilian and Jamaican options - bcoz we have a lot of people coming from those populations here - but not so much from the Mediterranean cultures. I already use all these seeds (most of them) to make my breakfast and only this week suddenly realized they would also make tasty crackers if I would just heat up the oven and bake them probably. Thank you again.
hi im wanting to do a sweet cracker I love them with real fruit jam I was thinking cinnamon, nutmeg I am keto so have to be carful any thought on with I could use plz & could I whip a eg white & mix that in ? I would be grateful for yr tip regards karen
Hi Karen, I can't say I've really experimented with making them sweet so can't help much afraid but I'm sure you'll be able to fine-tune it to taste just how you like it! It doesn't really need egg white to stick together.
It’s actually sold in some supermarkets these days. Otherwise you can buy it in any Middle Eastern store or online. Or just leave it out or substitute another herb you have to hand - they’ll turn out just as delicious.
Hi Pareen, I'm not sure how it works with printing from RUclips but try this link (or maybe copying and pasting the recipe into a document you can print). peppermintwellness.co.uk/videos/homemade-seed-crackers-mum/
Oh no!!!!! I'm so sorry you had to throw it away Paula! The recipe specifies non-stick baking paper as otherwise it will just stick to it. I've amended the recipe so that bit is now in bold lettering. Hope you'll try it again (NB. if you only have normal baking paper, you'll just need to grease it first).
I think that there is a mistake in the ingredients list as 1 tablespoon of salt is way too much..I had to throw them out and start again You probably meant 1 teaspoon?
Hi Christine, I do actually use a tablespoon but if you find that too salty, you could certainly use a teaspoon instead. Hope they turn out better for you next time! Suzy
Your mum looks wonderful
Ah that's very kind of you Lynne - Mum is 89 now!
What a gentlewoman your Mother is!
That's so kind of you Vicky!
I add 4 tablespoons of dried Parmesan to mine... delicious
Ooh what a great idea Lynne!
Thank you to your mum for the *warning* about eating to many flaxseeds, that's important to know!lol:) Such a beautiful lady.

You're mother is just lovely, she must have good genes! And of course healthy eating pays off in the end. I also add psyllium husk to mine.
Yes we do have salt and vinegar in the US. That's one of my father's favorite potato chip flavors.
Ah, your Dad is like me then!
Awesome 👏🏻! Thank you for the video. I’m gonna try these real soon. Your mother is a delight. Thanks for the soft music in the background instead of overpowering the tutorial. Again, thanks!

Made these and truly awesomeee!! Such a wonderful way to use Zataar. Mines was thick so took a while but totally wonder it.
So pleased! I've also made them thick a few times but I find it's better if you can get them a bit thinner so that they crisp up well.
I like your recipe. Zaater and taheni both Arab flavour foods. Specially in Syria and palatine.
Yes - I love them!
Thank you. ! I'll try it

So funny the daughter gets uncomfortable when mom talks about stool

You're absolutely right!!! It's such an important topic and, in retrospect, I'm really glad Mum brought it up!

Yes we have salt and vinegar chips in the USA
Can't beat salt and vinegar flavour!!
Really good
It would be nice to see a close up of the cracker:)
Thanks Rosella! Yes, that's one of the things I realised after the video was finished!!
Thanks
Your Mama's is sweet. She is great. I want to eat one too!
Ah thank you Adriane - that's very lovely of you.
Better out than in ☺️

Where can I buy za'atar from ?????

How long can the 'jellied' mix last (in the fridge or out) before it needs to be baked?
Hi Pia, I've sometimes left the mixture in the fridge for a couple of days and it's come out fine when cooked. Hope that helps. Suzy
@@PeppermintWellness oh great! Made the mixture then realised I didnt have baking paper 😓
Don't worry - I'm sure if you grease the tray really well it will come out ok!
@@PeppermintWellness ill try! How about aluminium foil?
Foil will stick to the bottom I think.

The temperature, 140 is it C. or F ?

the zaatar Ive always bought has sumac...no hyssop...Probably a USA thing.
Could be Barb! I think it does vary quite a lot depending on which Middle Eastern country it comes from.
