Major incident declared in South Wales after suspected gas explosion in Morriston

- A major incident has been declared after a suspected gas explosion in Morriston, Swansea in South Wales.
Emergency services are responding to the incident and locals have been asked to avoid the area.
South Wales Police and the Welsh Ambulance Service said they were called just after 11:20 GMT on Monday to a report of an explosion at a property.

Trying to bypass the gas meter is becoming a really common and dangerous practice. Thanks to ridiculously extortionate bills and rubbish wages.

This is going to be an ever increasing regular issue til the point it triggers rip it all out as the gas infrastructure street to street home to home gets older...And the cost all in all from fitment to (apparent ultimately end of day fake savings) it will be realized as net negative and either continuing with coal/stove'. Oil Heating or of course electric only heating all along was always the best and ONLY realistic answer!....Wait and see interesting 10-15yrs or so ahead from the ever increasing cases like this happening (and they notably have been the last 10yrs or so) to the point of rapid legislation draining the system/banning the use of mains household gas!....heard it here 1st!

I don’t think it’s specific toxic gas. Probably just gas for cooking and the police closed the road because of all the bits and pieces on the street.
