I met someone who travelled to Afghanistan with his family. He was telling me about the culture and how great and hospitable the people were by feeding them and providing them free places to stay. He said the people were amazing and kind.

During the Soviet war in Afghanistan; the sisters in Somalia were lining up to sell their gold jewelry and send the money to the Afghan freedom fighters. We are all brothers and sisters and for this action I will always love Somalia. There were many Somalians that joined the afghan struggle from Russia . 1979.

I converted to Islam and became homeless because my family didn't accept me after that. I ended up staying in a shelter. I was looking to get married and spoke to a practicing Afghan brother for marriage. He didn't know about my situation, and because he wanted any prospective wife to wait a year to get married I rejected him. My living situation was not stable so I couldn't wait that long. When I rejected him he asked me why I did do and I explained. SubhanAllah when this brother found out he gave me about $700. I tried to reject his offer many times but he insisted. He told me this was half the money he had in his bank account and he didn't want anything in return. He gave me the money for the sake of Allah. May Allah grant him good in this life and the next. There were other Afghans that were very kind to me and helped me a lot in my situation. May Allah bless them all.

To be fair he went there on a Saturday which is their holy day where they aren't allowed to carry any money according to their faith, although in Palestine they do all sorts of things to Palestinians on Saturday. It's even worse then the first one🤣 Almost all of them wouldn't even look or talk to him this time, except 1 man who seemed distracted on the phone and gave him some change. Funny enough it was a Somali lady who wanted to help him and showed genuine generosity❤
