Brilliant. You acquired a C.A.L.E.B. (Calibrated Aeronautical Launching Ellipsoid Bot) to show all the discs you have in stock on excellently tossed golf lines. Well played sir. Well played.
None of that matters when mvp disc of the same type fly differently in different colors. Seems impossible to keep track of. Simon proved this with his time-lapse. Personally I bought a blue and red impulse. Blue was waaayy more flippy while the red made a nice s line.
More options coming soon, but don’t tell anyone yet 🤫 There’s so many factors that go into the manufacturing processes of disc golf discs that it’s near impossible to make the exactly the same over and over and over again on mass scale. I’m sure if someone made discs out of the same materials as Snowboards and skis the consistency would increase, but how would the discs fly?
One thing I'd like to see tested (if not done so already) is if disc color affects stability. I especially hear this a lot with Discmania or Lat64. So could this be something tested in the future?
I think my prettiest disc is the TSA Mantra in Nebula plastic. Incidentally, it's also my furthest flying disc. I really do want my Elevation Psychic to fly further, but I probably don't have the arm speed to do it justice. Kudos to Ocean Discs for their recycling efforts! I don't think any of the stores here in Iceland carries them though. Perhaps I'll be able to pick one of their discs up next time I travel abroad.
For me... YES... but with a twist... My pretty discs are less likely to be thrown at trees... My pretty discs are more likely to be premium plastic... ERGO... My pretty discs are going to last longer (gods of the undergrowth willing) so I am going to throw them MORE... hence, in their lifetime (or mine)... FURTHER.
I'd also be curious (for science) on which disc went further - pretty or ugly duck - based on if it was thrown first or second. I know Caleb was trying to throw them exactly the same, but it's easy to make those micro-adjustments without even thinking about it for the second throw. All I know is that I'm always picking the pretty one off the shelf and leaving the ugly ones, so the pretty ones 100% fly further for me haha. Super sad to hear about the Brent Hambrick course being shut down. I play that course in 2011/12 and loved it! Still a highlight round for me all these years later.
I'd like to see some forehand testing. In a few videos you bring it up and show a couple throws but you don't do a lot of testing forehand. Maybe do forehand vs backhand on plastics which will throw further
How dare you Greg. How dare you tell me what I'm going to argue at you before I argue it at you!!! Don't tell me how to me... I about fell out. Thank you.
Kinda, but with a soft J, just like the letter Y in You. If that makes any sense🤣. And the e in berg is pronounced kinda like the first sound(letter) in the word Arizona
Come on, man! All us old timers know that green discs fly farther! Back in the '90s Rick Neal, owner of Disc Flights, Inc. charged a couple of dollars more for green discs because we all knew that green discs fly farther.
@@eoghana315 I felt the Chinese disc mania and it didn’t feel bad. My problem with china is the lack of courses and there working/living conditions. If they start building a bunch of courses I’m in.
What I would like to see is a comparison between same mold, same plastic type, same weight, different runs. Might be difficult to find new old stock on certain discs though.
You guys usually nail these videos but this one is a miss, the premise should have been "Do dyed discs go farther". I thought that's what you were doing until you threw stock discs.....
You must not watch a lot of RUclips. Nothing is free in this world. You may think that RUclips is a free platform, but in reality, it costs a lot of money to store and serve billions and billions of high quality videos on-demand. A good chunk of AdSense money does not go to the creator, it goes to literally keeping the platform running. Sponsorships help make content creation worthwhile for pretty much every creator out there. AdSense doesn’t always pay the bills. If you don’t want to see RUclips’s ads, you have 3 options: Pay for Premium, use Adblock (which I personally believe is akin to piracy as you’re basically stealing from RUclips and creators), or just don’t use the platform. If you don’t want to see sponsor integrations, just skip them lol. It’s not hard.

Not sure about prettier discs flying further, but dyed discs do. 100% of the time. So said a disc dyer.
Six Sided Discs - "Where everything is made up and the points don't matter"
Now it's time for a hoedown!
Z Glo Fly Dye Nuke typo, you have it displayed as 11/5/-1/3, but you say 13/5/-1/3, which is correct. Very fun video however
MVP plastics comparisons would please me no end ❤️

Does dyed discs fly different though ???
That premium ocean waste has very nice grip.
Plastic is so inconsistent, I wish we could make frisbees like we make snowboards or skis.

@@OceanDiscsNice.
I would love to see a video where you test the effects of dying a disc. Throw a set of discs, dye them, and throw again. Does it change the stability?
Yup, pretty ones make my bag, ugly ones stay on the shelf. Of course they'll fly farther. 😂😂 Answer is always pink or purple.

I wonder if asking him to choose the best looking disc before throwing them introduced bias?
It does. That’s kinda the point. If you like the way your disc looks, you want to do it a solid and throw it good.
Same disc molded with different colors does fly differently.
That's a Nuke for you

I hear that green discs are more OS than other colors. I would love to see a video comparing the same mold/plastic with different colors!
hell yeah they do!
Which fly better or farther, MVP/Axiom/Streamline and you could do the same for other disc makers with multiple company discs
Can you do a video that includes the MVP Trail
Funny you should ask, I'm working on one already!
@@SixSidedDiscs Amazing! love your channel, keep up the great work!
It's the disc you aren't afraid to lose that you throw the best.

I came here to answer the title/question of the video. I promise I will watch it later. The short answer is, Yes.
Swedish pronunciation tip: try pronouncing berg more like ”barry” with a spanish R, it should sound pretty close!
Is it really pronounced berj lmao
In Swedish, it's true: en.wiktionary.org/wiki/berg#Swedish (I'll still be saying it with the hard g as an anglophone, though)

Berj?
I’m afraid to throw my pretty discs. Ugly discs make the bag…
I heard that disc mania is stopping there active line of disc that are made in china.
Also prodigy is switching all operations to china
So Doscmania is moving everything to America and prodigy is moving to China?

Pretty discs are less likely to fly over water. Ugly discs ftw!
All this is telling me is that Caleb isn't great at choosing pretty discs.
Not on a water carry lol
You have to pronounce berg right not like "bursch" it is pronounce more like "bärj"
