My thought is the smb2 mushroom and the blocks under the spot beneath the bumper room need some visual cues.
I'd say that it should be set up where only stacks of 2 breakable blocks are blocks that actually need to be broken, so if there was another breakable block directly above the smb2 mushroom block, that would attract a little bit of attention.
As for the off-screen bombs? Just line up 2 arrows under the hole you make on the bumper spot. Specifically 2, because some folks will bomb once and leave, and they're not taking the clue properly!

I'd like to point out a third method to collect the red coin at the start. With the smb2 mushroom you pick up the sideways spring in the spike room, take it with you down the pipe to the bob-omb room then back to the starting room into the vine room. You need to reenter the pipe to the starting room and you can do that with the sideways spring acting as a platform, however you can't do it yet since big Mario won't fit in the 1-block gap for the red coin. Instead place the spring on the higher flying vine block to get squished by the ceiling into small Mario and then the vine block carries the spring into the wall and drops it to the perfect position for the pipe reentry.
As incredible as that sounds there's a much more usefull cheese with the spring, just go into the key-door and use it as a platform to enter the door instead of the pow-block, skipping a full key.

The creator should've added another red coin at the start and block it with one way so that it could only be obtained without hitting checkpoints. Then place checkpoint after the keydoor halfway below the semisolid, and put a key below that semisolid, that way after the keydoor you're not able to get the key from red coins again and don't have to do half the level again. Probably a good idea to also place another on-off block in the same room.
Also stating that there's no hidden blocks and have a smb2 mushroom hidden behind the block makes the puzzle much worse. It should've been mushroom-dispensing pipe blocked by destructible blocks.
    The rest was great.

Day 454 of posting a cool animal fact:
Two out of the canid (dog) family's subfamilies are extinct! But what were these subfamilies? First was hesperocyoninae, from which the two other canid subfamilies evolved from. The most interesting thing about them is that they were very long, and had long tails to match. They look almost more similar to something like a mongoose than something like a wolf! However these guys got out competed by the next subfamily, borophaginae. These guys are called "bone crushing dogs" and as their name suggests, they were bulkier and tougher than their ancestors. They resembled foxes and hyenas most closely though they were a bit bulkier. Unfortunately for borophaginae though, the final subfamily of canids came to out compete them; caninae. Caninae, along with recently introduced felids were swifter and sneakier than the slower and bulkier borophaginae, and ended with borophaginae going extinct. Leaving caninae as the dominant subfamily, which hosts all modern canids!

This level looks clearly designed to be easy to get all the reds and then be presented with the final room with absolutely no leads on what to do next (except the fact that a second keydoor exists). The rest of the level involves breaking random hard to break blocks to find the smb2 mushroom and second key (although if you have the smb2 mushroom i can't imagine that second key actually being hard to find). I don't like the location of the smb2 mushroom because it feels like a complete shot in the dark that that's the specific block you need to break, while everything else has a clear tell that it's something that you should probably try.
You didn't actually need to do the full process of getting the first key every time you died, which would've given more time to think about how to get into the second keydoor. Once you figure out all the level elements on their own is when it's time to piece it together.

What's up with the bomb and the on/off switch between first and second rooms? Awesome episode btw, second favorite to the end of the no skip run.

Nice level, but the SMB2 mushroom part was scuffed imo.

Personally, I think a better version of this level would have removed the extra bombable blocks, used ? Blocks with a direct tunnel connection for the SMB2 mushroom, and left a block missing so you could see the other pipe at the ending.

If he'd managed this without the program I'd have worshipped him as a minor deity.
