@aqaaccountingteacher been struggling with the suspense account with the journal entries , also the depreciation account in disposals area if that makes sense
@@jakeprichard4303 I have a number of videos on all of those things. You should be able to find them quite easily if you search "depreciation" / "suspense" /"disposal" etc on my channel rather than RUclips generally. Here are a couple to get you started: ruclips.net/video/MQTrhvJyRC4/видео.htmlsi=jT8R65yrZ-RrpQIp ruclips.net/video/JFBjPUVsi78/видео.htmlsi=vGa6RXTN5G8jOcDb There's a whole playlist for adjustments in t-accounts: ruclips.net/p/PLBHwxDxca95Gwr8FtKf10YCwmqCoUxaAm&si=ugNzY7CWi1WplkJG Enjoy!
The starting point is getting the opening balance on the correct side and making sure you understand the individual transactions. The control accounts are just a summary of all the transactions on the individual ledger accounts and most of the figures will come from the books of prime entry - the journals and cash book. Above all, make sure you don't include cash sales and purchases!
if we returned a cheque to a credit customer would we credit in the purchase ledger? (nothing to do with the question, just want to consolidate my knowledge, thanks)
Customers are in the sales ledger and suppliers are in the purchases ledger. If a customer cheque bounces (returned by the bank) then Dr Customer and SLCA / Cr bank. If you bounce a supplier cheque, Dr Bank Cr Supplier and PLCA.
Extremely helpful, saved me alot of stress from missing this lecture
That's great to hear. Thank you for taking time to leave a comment and good luck with your studies.
@@aqaaccountingteacher is it possible to request certain questions because I liked this way of explaining things
Yes please feel free to let me know of any topics you’d like help with and I can either post a link to the existing videos or record a new one.
