This one is the first fragrance I bought for my sister and it's still her favorite till date!
Nice!
Thanks for making this video. This is the first perfume I had when I was around 13 and now 20 years later i still don't want to let it go. I've had it two times, and even though I have more perfumes now, I want to buy it again.
Thank you for reviewing this. Imagine in the 90s, when everyone smelled pretty much the same, how groundbreaking this was! I am a lover of anise/licorice, violet, and tonka, so this was a LOVE at first scent (an I have worn it for 20+ years). I also love the midnight flanker/version and Elle L'aime. Adorable bottle and agree that it can be unisex.
Glad you enjoy it!
I enjoyed owning it for a while but often forgot to reach for it. I adored the bottle design as it felt like a little treasure.
pretty little thing
I have beautiful memories of this little masterpiece..
It was my very first fragrance and the dry down is to die for 🌺🌈❤️
nice!
Loooong time ago.. 1997 I believe 😊 👍🌈
First tried this perfume 15 yrs ago.. Now always have a bottle in my bag. 💯❤️
How do you feel about the reformulation now called “Mon Premier”? It’s seems no one is doing recent reviews on this formulation. Would love your opinion especially since you are familiar with the fragrance for so long. I used to have the original formula but wanted to have it again. Now I’m worried the new one will be a disaster.
Yeah. This is really good. Lempicka makes some nice gourmand scents for not a lot of money.
Some years back I did a blind buy of this, thinking if I don’t like it, at least the bottle design is decorative. Ended up being one of my favorite designer fragrances. Your review is spot on👌... I also initially didn’t like the synthetic top notes... was too saccharine sweet with violet, but a bit later was intoxicated by it!
Glad you enjoy it!
This fragrance is one of it's kind. I have love/hate relationship with it since the teenage years. Over the years I bought 3 bottles selling them every time. There is something that constantly attracts me to it but I can't wear it. The EDP was too strong so I bought EDT. Now I have a full bottle I want to sell again. Maybe I'll keep it for the most beautiful packaging. The design of the bottle and especially the spryer is so unique.
I had it long time ago its very very sweet but I loved it! Very classy . I will buy it again.
I was lucky to find the original bottle design that you have pictured, which is really hard to find in the States. A lot of retailers are showing the old picture & sending the new bottle with a different formulation, instead. So buyer beware!
As always, love your reviews❣️
Thanks Deborah
I have the old bottle, it smells really good, no idea if it got reformulated. On me it is a powdery, sweet musk with a tiny bit of staranise, and also something green in the back. And I am not surprised that it is Annick Menardo who is behind this one! She is one of my favourite noses.
Everything seems to get reformulated, it's been around a hell of a long time.. so I imagine it has!
I just wanted to say that perfume is veeeeery popular in France! I used to love it when I was a teenager!
Awesome review!
Thank you!
Lolita captured me at the first sniff and I am lucky that I've got formula before it has been reformulated. So it sits in my cabinet as a memory of the good one. The only disadvantage is the longevity, it doesn't have it as much, i'm afraid, but the aura is super. If you are interested you can try men version Lolita Lempicka eau Masculine. Oh, and the bottle is absolutely georgeus. It's a gem! Nice review.
Cheers! I'll see if I can get the male version
Yay! I said the same thing about Lolita Lempicka - while am I am not crazy about the opening, the mid and base are so good that this is certainly full bottle worthy. You can't beat it for the price, imho.
for the price it's really great..
Wonderful review Pete. Bang on with your descriptions. Took me a while to get used to how anise is used in the men's line, but after I learned to appreciate it, this one became so much more appealing to me. Totally get that 'cotton' vibe as well.
Cheers!!
This is so beautiful, unique and enchanting. Great bottle and an amazing fragrance. Thank you for making this real again
Thank you
i really love this fragrance. it was my signature scent in 2010 and you're right it is definitely a casual, cool weather sort of perfume. just like, going shopping and exploring and drinking Starbucks sort of vibes. 💗🌤
I bought this one for my lady years ago, she loves it. I also like the men’s version, though it’s a very close to the skin one.
Glad she enjoys it!
My favorite parfum for already 15 years ❤ i love it and im kinda addicted :p i wear it all the time ❤
Glad you like it!
@@FragranceView Super nice you made a review about it. And a big thank you for all the nice video's especially the one about how to make a parfum! I make soaps, lotions and crèmes, my goal is to combine the powers of essential oils while making a nice fragrance :)
Sounds really nice I wish they sold this brand near to me because I would love to smell the range
Thanks!
LOVE *all* the notes. For women, its all in how it makes us feel. 💖
very cool. You know so much about the synthetics, Alora and Vivian does too! Alas, I have decided to go all natural, when I can resume my perfume experiments. I have a question, if you don't mind, have you tried this out on any ladies? I have noticed that women make perfume smell quite differently when putting on a perfume. I know you know this already, I was just wondering what it smells like on a girl? I wish you could join forces with a couple of ladies and to a fuller review, scent-wise, but these are still quite exceptional, because you get into the possible oils and chemicals used. I love your technical videos!. Have a great day, Sir.
Sorry I've never smelled it on a woman, but there's plenty of female reviewers that talk about it if you want an alternative perspective on it!
Great review! I agree with all you said. I grew up with Tabu, Channel 5, La'Orange, Styx. When I found Lolita in 2004 it became my fav. Then I found out they weren't going to make it anymore! So I'm glad its back. So lovely! It is kind of heavy for Spring or Summer but it mixes so well with the cooler air! I wish they still made L'Orange too. Thanks again, great job!
Thanks!
I always link violet scent with "mourning" I could say that evoques melancholia somehow, for what I heard on your review I think the complementary notes makes that feeling away.
interesting... I guess it's all personal memory and experience
@@FragranceView I agree with your idea, I think that's why our own fragrance taste change upon the years also.
I love Lolita Lempicka. It’s one of my favourites and I actually love the opening. I love the top, middle and base notes on this one. It’s so good! I like your video and hearing your point of view of this amazing perfume.
Glad you enjoy it!
This is one of Lola's favorites.
I've always been interested in sampling it, and now with the warm cotton wool, I'll have too.
I want to sample the man's too.
Are you thinking of reviewing that one Peter ?
I would if I can get a sample. I've never smelled the mans version!
I love Lolita Lempicka too especially in cold weather! If you don’t enjoy the violet part you would probably like the Minuit version. It is similar but even more unisex and more resinous, a bit less sweet.
Great review. One of my favorites. I'd love to see more reviews of women's perfumes. :)
Thank you, I'll try to do more this year
Thank you! I just bought this.
Hope you're enjoying it!
My signature scent
Love this one as well. L de Lolita Lempicka by Maurice Roucel is wonderful as well if you like Musc Ravageur .
I am not taken with MR actually!
How do you feel about the reformulation now called “Mon Premier”? It’s seems no one is doing recent reviews on this formulation. I used to have the original formula from (1997 Pacific Creations) but wanted to have it again. Now I’m worried the new one in the modern bottle will be a disaster.
great review
Hi great review, would you mind let me know where can I get this gorgeous perfume from? My wife been using it for years unfortunately she is struggling getting it lately. Thank you.
Google is your best bet
That's the first fragrance I've offered to somebody (my first serious girlfriend, like 12 years ago maybe). It's funny because I smelled it in an elevator yesterday evening, and I suddenly was feeling good, happy, the smell was really "refreshing" to me. I guess it's still linked to good memories.
BTW, is the one you're talking about the original ? Because I've search on Fragrantica and they have made TONS of variations (there is the original and another one called "Le premier parfum").
this one is the original!
@@FragranceView Ok that's what I thought from the description. Cool, thanks :)
I really like it too. For a designer fragrance, it's original, good quality, and has been around for a long time.
I’ve smelled this before and like it. Good one ✌🏻
glad you liked it
I actually prefer this one over the men’s Au masculin lolita lempicka which i had too but didn’t use it enough so sold it.
I've not tried the others!
Your on point, I mix this Lolita few days back.. powdery, musky.. unisex..
This definitely is good, i have it and also ‘L’ de lolita in the unbelievably amazing pepple heart lagoon shell bottle, you would probably find it too sweet though, but i like wearing it and i love smelling it on my partner too, it’s like musc ravageur without the clove but with an orange ice cream vibe.
sounds interesting
L would drive me crazy! I loved it but they don't sell it anymore :/
Interesting description.
I tried my best
Would love to see a review of the mens version!
I've never smelled the mens one!
Used to wear this and used to buy this at shopping complex here... But suddenly they hasn't exported it to Malaysia anymore.... So sad
have you also tried the Forbidden Flower (Fleur Defendue) one? i love that one! regarding the original, i didn't like it when i tried it many years ago. it smelled like gasoline to my nose. some years ago, i bought it for the bottle. i tried it and found the scent quite adorable. not sure if it's reformulated cuz my memory of the scent that i tried many years ago was weak. the whole line looks so magical and fairy-tale like. the Midnight (Minut) one is also beautiful. cheers!
Cheers Kasey, I have not tried that one!!
I have sniffed this fragrance so many times in stores but couldn’t go past the opening. It didn’t ring any bells for me. I’ve seen this fragrance in almost every woman’s collection. BUT now that I’ve heard you say nice things about it, I have to try it one more time to compare to what I remember from previous times.
I don't like the opening, give it about 15 minutes before judging if you're going to like it or not
Sure thing
I love this fragrance. However, the dry powder note makes me cough the whole time I wear it...I finally gave up on trying to wear it and gave away what I had left. Have you tried L’Heure Bleue from Guerlain yet? The two are a touch similar, but L’Heure Bleue is not as sweet, more delicate and feminine and all around smoother.
that's a shame! I have not tried that no! I'll have to try it
FragranceView I’d love to get your take on it.
Not smelt this but that bottle...wow! Thats design.
I am not sure if it's meant to be an apple or a cherry.. I guess it must be a cherry with that being listed in the notes
I’ve just searched for Lolita Lempicka, it seems it’s been discontinued now..
It is yes! can find them on eBay though
Good review can you review more men's designer fragrances plz
I find I don't enjoy the way the mens designers smell, the women's are a lot better.. when I review a men's designer and I am not that keen on it, people give me grief, so I rather not bother talking about them..
If I find some I like I will do
Can you please share few website links from where I can buy essential oils to make perfumes..will appreciate
Perfumers Apprentice, Perfumers World, Hermitage Oils, Eden Botanicals
FragranceView Thank You
Can I get those sites as well please. I'm out of lolita and it's my husband's favorite. For our anniversary. Thank you
I agree with LolaScents--would love your views on more women's fragrances. I've been watching your vids and have been thankful for your thorough reviews.
Thank you, I will try to do more this year!
Be still my heart... Lolita Lempicka?! Good for you, Peter! Many a gems to be gleaned out there... ;)
You don't sound convinced lol
@@FragranceView No, I'm actually a fan of licorice perfumes. I'm not convinced YOU'RE convinced. ;) Actually, you might want to check out Cartier--niche-y for non-niche. The 90s also had some other greats that can sometimes be had for copper: Tommy Girl, CK 1, Paco... But really, it's cool to see you mining.
This is the epitome of femininity.
Absolutely Unisex. It feels so comforting.
No guitar? I'm confused! Fragrance view talks about fragrance? Wow, nice to see)))
the last video was just a joke not to be taken seriously, light hearted
I love Lolita Lempicka !❤❤❤❤
Lolita Lempicka? I think this is the troll video, not the previous one 😂 j/k I love when you review designer frags 😃
thanks
This is a little treasure and a little bit sensual
First!!
Hey buddy!
Hi Peter, I just watched another review of Lolita and she explains the changes to the (2017 version) which people didn't like. I guess the original formula wasn't allowed to go to the new company or something so the new owner had to change it. The one you pick up here is the 2010 version (I guess) with the apple stem sprayer. I don't know why frangrance companies try to improve 'perfection'. Millions of women love the original 1997 version and the 2010 (?) Since the new owner can't use the original formula, I was thinking maybe you can come up with something very similar- because you've certainly got the nose and talent to do it. I'm including the video link since I may have mixed the years up. I am completely out of the 'mon preimer' with spray stem. Devastated- along with a ton of other women. ruclips.net/video/DY60QXI8ufU/видео.html
I don't copy other fragrances sorry
Is this another troll video?
Oh no an actual review of it😨😂 personally i hate a liquorice note! So if the sweetness covers thst enough i'd appreciate it.
Great to get your take ✊
I am not a fan of liquorice either buddy, can't stand the taste of it... don't like the smell, but somehow this is good
Wow you have macchu Picchu on the back! I’m from Peru 🇵🇪 haha 😆
I clicked on the video randomly based on the title and was surprised you were a guy xd
lol
.
Smelled this years ago and didn’t like it then (based on the opening only, I didn’t know better then!) I have to revisit this scent, my tastes are really different now. Lola also makes me want to try again, she talks about this one a lot. Thank you for the review!
Hahaha, nice “guys” impression.
haha thanks
