I watched a lot of reaction video's from you two. This rendition of the Lion King music was new to me, the flute in the beginning made me tear up instantly, this is by far my favorite music score/choir I have ever seen. Maybe crazy to say, but better than Hans Zimmer's prague version, that did not give me the chills like with this one. And I watched a few versions in my life. I ran a videostore in 1995, when I was 18 years old. The people were lining up to get a rental VHS of the Lion King, rented them out in an hour ;-)
That vocal in the beginning of the Lion King movie that Jon was talking about goes like this: "Naaaaants ingonyama bagithi Baba" in the Zulu language and it literally means "Here comes a lion, father, Oh yes it’s a lion." The person who sings it is Lebo Morake, also known as Lebo M and he's one of the greatest African vocalists ever...and I'm sad they didn't use him for this concert!!! 😩😩😩
woohoo - first up! Been to the live show twice (6,000km round trip for the 2nd one!) s clearly a massive Hans fan. This song in particular - I ADORe the Lion King movie and the soundtrack is just incredible. The version they took on tour with the maestro himself (not the symphonic one above, the one with the Live In Prague DVD supporting it) is much more emotional. I don't mind admitting it moves me to tears, even after all this time. Strongly suggest you have a look, even though you likely won't post the "same" music twice. Glad to see Hans music getting reaction, whatever the format.
They needed some sort of muffled horns at the final transition to symbolize Simba's roar, and the other lioness' answer back. Without it...it kind of jerks me out of the moment.

I know he played guitar on Time from this show, but I don’t know about the rest of the concert. For most of it he was in the crowd.
Wow! Loved your reactions, was great to see something different!
