      Hi! Yes, I'm currently working on the Indonesian deforestation, so I'm sculpting various species that are critically endangered. I really hope your country will stop that massive deforestation before it's too late, you have so much natural beauty.
      The Borobudur Temple is gorgeous! But I don't really sculpt buildings for now. However lucky you for living next to such a treasure! And thank you :)

    Your work is beautiful Stephanie. Would you ever do a Sibrrian Husky clay video? I would love to see. I'm going to start playing your videos when my little niece comes to visit. She loves to make things in clay and your videos are perfect to help her learn.

      I rarely do animals, and I don't take requests for videos, sorry :/
      But I'm sure you can find quite a few videos to inspire your niece! :)

      essayer des oiseaux? à part les pattes, c'est plutôt facile, la forme est simple :)

    •  7 лет назад

      Stephanie Kilgast // PetitPlat oui j'adore les perroquets et les chouettes mais je ne prend jamais le temps de les faire. Les tiens sont cools en tout cas.

    Somehow I missed this video, so I'm watching this after seeing the completed work. The birds don't look as tiny on the finished piece as they do in this video. It's amazing how much detail you manage to fit on your tiny creations! You are a true artist! I'm curious whether you use reference pictures or sculpt purely by memory?

    • @stephanie.kilgast
      @stephanie.kilgast  7 лет назад

      I mostly use reference pictures. Unless it's something I sculpted several times, then I don't.

    I can't wait to see the final Indonesian work! Do you feel it's finished, or are there more elements to add?

    • @stephanie.kilgast
      @stephanie.kilgast  7 лет назад +1

      So not finished! Right I'm making a moss covered tree and want to add mushrooms too and I still needs a few leaves or plant to give it more volume. Hopefully it'll be done by next week, so I can move towards others projects.

    First, I hope you feel better soon!!
    Second, in some sculpts, like the pretzels and donuts, you made molds to duplicate them. What about a sculpt helps determine whether or not to use a mold?

    • @stephanie.kilgast
      @stephanie.kilgast  7 лет назад

      I don't use molds for pretzels or donuts. However I do for cookies. I will use a mould if I need a lot of similar flat objects.

    Why cover the branch with clay after attaching the bird? I'd think covering the branch should come first, no?

    • @stephanie.kilgast
      @stephanie.kilgast  7 лет назад

      I found it easier that way, but you're free to sculpt however you prefer.
