They don't seem to service these units because the cost is the same as a new one. Yep start with the spark plug. I use the Stihl KM56RC-E Engine, it lasts a long time, a real work horse, you may have to replace a spark plug, varies to how much you use it, but not very often, it's no heavier & the same db level as the other models & doesn't have the needless fancy options on it to go wrong.
I go through a lot of spark plugs on my km and hl 94 units. Try a new spark plug first incase its just that. They run shit, hard to start, new spark plug and running perfect again. I use stihl oil with the 50:1 mix but the spark plugs still get gunked up. My other tools dont just the 94s🤷🏼
I have checked spark plug still bogging out so I’m going to see if a machinery shop can get it running again. Either sell it afterwards and upgrade to something else or keep it
@felixcampbelltreeandgrounds The spark arrester on the exhaust could be totally blocked with carbon deposits. There is a wire mesh that is screwed on. Sometimes these become blocked and stop the engine running right. Or worst case the piston rings have went or the piston is scored. Also, the carb may just be needing serviced. Hope you get it working without too must cost to yourself.
@@felixcampbelltreeandgrounds once you've got it running properly I recommend using Aspen 2 or similar. It's eliminated any fuel related issues I've ever had and is better on the whole for your machines and you 👍🏻
Check the spark arrestor. Thanks for the video!
