Thanks Jay! That’s a pretty good idea actually, tenderloin is so underrated and I don’t know why. Such a great cut when cooked right! The Mojo BBQ was fantastic as well! Thanks for watching, and have a great weekend 🍻
I come back to this video ever time I cook pork tenderloin. Great instructional video. I usually use Sweet Preacher seasoning but I’m going to try the Sucklebusters. Their brisket rub is good so gonna check this out.
thank you for your tutorial. I bought some pork tenderloin but wasn't sure how to smoke/bbq them. The thing I like best about your video is that you let us know the timing of everything. I have one on right now, following you step by step. So far it's at the temp that yours was at the same time. Thanks again.
Tommy, you absolutely should brother! I know you’d knock it out if the park! Thanks so much for watching man, I appreciate ya! I hope you’re enjoying “retired” life!
Great job Bud, My family wants me too smoke this for Easter, I never done it before but very excited to try it. Definitely will follow you instructions.🤤👍
It turned out great, easy & very tender. I put a little bit to much heat in my sauce for other peoples taste , the sauce is where I need to tinker with.
I scrolled and scrolled until I stumbled on this gem of a video! Exactly what I was looking for! Time temp on point! You my friend have a new follower in me!
Thank you brother, I appreciate it! Man, we gotta get you some of that Party Rub. Let me see what I can do for ya man, I'd love you to try it! It is SO good!
@@AshKickinBBQ thanks brother! I really appreciate it. I try to see if somebody sells it in Europe and then get it delivered here. Although feels a bit dummy to pay more for transportation than the actual product
Ok I am going to try something different. I am going to prepare spatchcock chicken, pork tenderloin and beef roast on the pit boss at the same time! The goal is to get good smoke on all the meats and then run them through the grinder to use in my Brunswick stew recipe. Wish me luck 😊
@@AshKickinBBQ It turned out awesome. 2 chickens, pork tenderloin and Angus roast. Smoked with hickory blend pellets for 2 1/2 hours. Then ran through the grinder with the other ingredients.
So the Party Rub is made by a buddy of mine, and distributed by SuckleBusters. It has SPG in it of course, amongst a few other ingredients that really make it shine. It is fantastic on everything! Eggs, salads, etc. It's all I use on my briskets now catering, and I use it in competition as well. I love SB SPG, but Party Rub has replaced SPG as my daily use rub. I am confident you would love it!
Another great video Darrin. Bacon is good but I think tenderloin is king. I like the way the rack on the pitboss 1600 slides out! What was the white mat you had between the cutting board and wire rack when prepping?
Thank you, Mark! I really appreciate your continued support brother! Yes both the middle and top rack slide out, pretty handy! That white mat was a disposable cutting board. I use them at comps, but it’s nice for keeping raw meat off my nice board, etc.
I just grilled a tenderloin on my SnS grill came out just yours(no sauce)It's funny how lots of people don't want to see pink in their pork(like my grandma lol)i hated pork until I learned how to cook it.Thanks for the video your definently a Pitmaster!!
Man, I appreciate your kind words! And yes, I couldn't agree more! learning how to properly cook pork is a game changer! Stays tender, juicy, and delicious!
Great video!! I'm trying this today and I'm new to doing tenderloins. I purchased 2 but when I opened the packages they seem to be split in 2 and coming apart. Do I actually have 2 tenderloins in each package or should I tie both halves together from each package. Thanks.
Thanks for the quick reply. It's hard to tell the halves look like they match together. I was going to post a pic on the pit boss group to see but I think you answered my question. Thank you!!
We make tenderloin often, if you ask my wife she’ll say it’s her favorite thing I cook. We signed up to take our kids’ teachers appetizers last month and the light 💡 bulb went off. Pork tenderloin sliders. They loved em.
@@AshKickinBBQ two tenderloins were good for about 2 dozen small sliders. And it was about $12 to do it. I made tenderloin with Kosmo’s Pineapple Heat rib glaze recently, and it was marvelous.
Haha, these ones weren’t Compart, but I know Jim Compart well and they sponsored me this year for KCBS. The whole Compart family are great people. My pork loin video is Compart and I definitely showed them some love! #bestporkontheplanet
Tenderloin is my go to when coming up with pork flavors. Looks amazing sir. Great smoke.

I am sorry but i may have missed it but how long does this take altogether?
Lots of variables come into play. It’s done when it hits temp. Can’t go by time.
A relative novice to smoking pork, and never smoked a tenderloin. How long do you leave the meat alone once you've put rub on it?
10 mins, or overnight. Up to you
You need to give a shout out to my buddy Robby Compart for the meat you're cooking! :)

@@AshKickinBBQ lol, you open the lid and it’ll go from 225 to 180 in a matter of a minute
