I have a 81 850g with a 83 1100g engine i swapped it about 6 years ago best thing i ever did for the beast i should mention that i rode it with the 850 engine 78,000 and change and i have 40,000 on this setup with no sign of quitting Peace

It's a lot easier to short block the engine when installing it back into the frame can put the head on later

@@Animation445 I own a 83 gs 850g and also a 83 gsx 750e. I bought a 82 gs 550l last week. Now I'm looking for some gs 1000g or gsx 1100e from the 80. Have You finished engine restore?

@@wilsonsminds1467 yes the engine is finished and in frame I have to wait to have some days off before I can continue. I also have 85 gs550t that I will work on next
