I loved watching that clip over and over when I was editing. Remembering how polite Jasper was at taking a treat, and Hamish the same, and Poppy just grabbing it 😂😂
Wow, that weed!!! Pete certainly had some patience to get the boat in for water! Loved that mooring with the jets flying over, we’d have loved that!! Lovely video, think we may have to go that way someday, it looks beautiful xx
You need to add it to your list for sure! That weed was something else though! Lots of lovely places to explore along the way, and all the planes!! I was almost as excited as Pete seeing the Lancaster! 😂😊
Wow. That was certainly one hell of a weed patch. Loved the fact plan C finally worked and you got water. Lincoln really does look like a beautiful place to cruise through…..maybe one day ! X
Definitely add it to your list Phil! It was a beautiful stretch to cruise, despite the weed, and some lovely places to stop and explore along the way. See you soon! 😊
I, too, admire your tenacity in getting water and the pups' patience in getting off of the boat. After having driven from Waco to Houston Wednesday night in the horrendous Texas rain and lightening reminiscent of Harvey, I am especially appreciative of your calm and beautiful vlogs every time. Stay well and hug those sweet fuzzies. Leigh
Glad they bring you some calm Leigh! That must have been a stressful drive. Any time it rained after Harvey I think it sent everyone into some kind of trauma of the memories all over again. They were bad times weren’t they 😳
That was so beautiful, I was really calmed by the musical accompaniment to the Lincoln stages, a lovely choice. All that weed is not natural, it's the result of the farmers overfertilising their fields, so that the nitrates wash into the river.
Just found your vlog. Excellently produced videos and information ... and fun. :-) That Empowerment Sculpture is stunning, really powerful. I'll head back and start watching your vlogs from the beginning. And I'll hope they clean up those WEEDS! Oh my gosh. We're having the same invasive plant problems here in the USA, in waterways and in gardens. I like that sign "where have you been?" Makes me think back and enjoy my life. Former 40-foot boat owner (28 years) in Puget Sound and in Canada, and now a 6-year veteran of caravaning (21-foot travel trailer), here in Washington State, USA. Grew up in the Philippines. Other stuff too, but I spent almost a week in Scotland a few years ago and wanted so badly to hire a narrowboat. Maybe my next trip over. Ok, back to your first blog and I'll make my way through. Thank you! My best friend had a Westie. 🙂
I loved looking back at the treats clip too! Lovely memories of the three of them all lined up waiting for their Dad to hand out the treats! Thanks for watching 😊
Our Texas neighbours! We could have done with a little Texas heat today after our cold and wet day cruising! It’s lovely to edit these summer videos and look forward to warmer temperatures! We are glad we can take you along with us, if only virtually 😊
Disgusting the CRT not clearing that part of the canal, should be ashamed of themselves-normally do a good job but not at that lock...Lovely boat by the way 👍
It certainly was quite a challenge getting through the lock and to the water point. I think it was even worse than usual because of the extreme hot temperatures we had experienced. Thanks for watching 😊
Another lovely video - the swans didn't seem to mind you much. Spring is in the air here, 12 inches of snow 2 weeks ago. Tornadoes / some baseball sized hail (not Texas sized though) but looks to be near or in the 70's next week. Hope both of you and the puppies are doing well. Take care, Be safe and always God Bless. Tom
The swans are very curious Tom, and sometimes a little agressive protecting their babies! We’ve had 4 seasons in a weekend for sure here! Sunburn and t shirts yesterday, and back to big winter coats and hats and hail and rain today! Hope you are well 😊
@@onedaymoreaboard I know they can be a bit 'protective'. I call them B52's bombers - they are so huge. I stay clear of them and some geese. Friends use to have 'guard' geese on their farm. If they 'didn't know you' those geese would chase you. Took a bit for them to 'know' you and somewhat friendly with you. (feeding them was a help though lol) Snow 3 weeks ago - by Wednesday will hit 80F here. What spring? lol Take care - pet the puppies for me... Be safe and God Bless.
You could say that! We couldn’t believe how thick it was and how quickly it accumulated again once cleared! Made for an adventurous day for sure! Thanks for watching 😊
It's too late to do anything other than control the situation but I'm not sure most people are aware of the reason for these waterways problems with excessive growth of aquatic vegetation. This is because the species are INTRODUCED (via garden centres usually) - they are non-native species which have a competitive advantage in the ecosystem they HAVEN'T co-evolved with. Native species don't cause these problems in normal circumstances. The other contributory factor to the problem - run-off of excessive nutrients (farm fertiliser, sewage, chicken farm effluent etc.) is also £££££££££man-made. Will we ever learn...to stop the narcissists polluting our environment..? (Dot)
I had read a little too about how this species had been introduced and is not native is so invasive. There are so many lessons to be learnt sadly. Thanks for watching 😊
I love poppy wolfing down that treat 😂😂
I loved watching that clip over and over when I was editing. Remembering how polite Jasper was at taking a treat, and Hamish the same, and Poppy just grabbing it 😂😂
Blimey. That weed! Soul destroying. ❤
It was rather! Like a thick carpet 😳

"Be Gentle Poppy"🤣😂💞🐾 I keep rewinding to re-watch the cruising bit in the middle. It's so pretty and the music is so relaxing❤
Glad you enjoyed it! Poppy is always very eager for her treats, but we have taught her ti be a little more gentle now 😂
Well that was nerve wracking! Tell Poppy she did a good job supervising the problems solver!
Poppy certainly does a good job supervising her Dad whether he wants it or not 😂. Hope you are both well! When is your next trip over here?
We’re coming back this week!!! Look forward to April in England as always
Coming through the lock it looked like you were cruising through a field ! 😱 😊🤗🐾🐾🐾 Kathy
It really did didn’t it! Absolutely crazy! Hope you are well 😊
All the time and love you put into editing - thank you so much ❤. Traveling with you was lovely again.
It’s our pleasure Gabriele! We love that you love our videos 😊

So glad you enjoyed it! I’ve learnt a lot about weed for sure from that trip. It really was something else! Thanks for watching 😊
So calming for the most part. That weed was quite troublesome. I’m glad that you are out of it. I love seeing the swan families.
Glad you enjoyed it Shirley! Those swan families were so elegant, if a little protective of their babies 😊

We are is glad to have you aboard Ann! And thanks for your lovely words. Sounds like you have lived a very adventure-filled life 😊
Great vlog guys, and yes Lincoln is a lovely place, I just watched Paul and Anthony's vlog with you guys in it going to the masselfield canal....
Lincoln is certainly one of our favourite cities. We are having a wonderful time traveling with Paul & Anthony! Thanks for watching 😊
Good grief. You could walk on that weed!!! Like the treats lineup!
I loved looking back at the treats clip too! Lovely memories of the three of them all lined up waiting for their Dad to hand out the treats! Thanks for watching 😊
Just found your channel. Very very sweet Westies, I’m jealous 😊 and really like pastel color of boat!
Welcome aboard! So glad you found us and the westies! Thanks for watching 😊
Thank you, so enjoyable🙏✝️🙏🇨🇦
Glad you enjoyed it James 😊
Too bad about all the weed in the canal, but a beautiful cruise and amazing scenery!
It definitely made for a long day Sheryl! But you’re right, it was beautiful and lovely weather too! Thanks for watching 😊
Thanks!
Towards a lapel mic or a couple of pints-- your choice😊 (Idaho)
Thank you so much for supporting our channel John! We will definitely be putting it towards the lapel mics 👍😊
So nice to meet you earliear at Torrside brewery hope to see you on the water soon Andy ,Janet and Jack the dog xx
Lovely to meet you both, and of course Jack! I’m sure we will cross paths again 😊
Oh my word, that weed is unbelievable 😮, you did so well managing to fill up with water 👏👏❤️
It was definitely one of the most challenging water points we have been to in our time aboard! It was so thick! Thanks for watching 😊
Lovely cruise despite that awful weed. Blimey it’s taking over. Have a lovely Easter ❤
Thanks so much! Hope you had a lovely Easter weekend 😊
Another lovely episode to watch while hoping spring actually comes to Oregon. Thanks again.
Thanks for watching Franklin! We are looking forward to warmer temperatures here too 😊
Thanks for another cuise. Wish we could someday join along with you someday. 😀 Mickey & Rose from Clear Lake
Our Texas neighbours! We could have done with a little Texas heat today after our cold and wet day cruising! It’s lovely to edit these summer videos and look forward to warmer temperatures! We are glad we can take you along with us, if only virtually 😊
What an ordeal. I’m glad you succeeded.
It wasn’t one of the best days, but we said at least it wasn’t raining! Thanks for watching 😊
The bomber station is at coningsby and coningsby is our main east coast defence station
Pete loved being on his old stomping ground and it’s good to hear more facts! Thanks for watching 😊
I've never cruised through soup before but that's what I imagine it looks like ! 😂
Oh it was crazy! Such slow going ploughing through 😳
All the places I worked at in my 16s, 17s and 18s are all gone. My home town tears down its history for revenue generating apartments. So sad really!
It is so sad to see history torn down 😞. Thanks for watching 😊
Wow the canal is in a bad state there isn't it? Glad we don't get that weed on the K&A 💚🇬🇧🌱
It was bad, and the worst it’s been according to the locals 😳
A little while back we seconded the motion of a lapel mic for pete so we wanted to donate to the cause John and Cindy ( Idaho)
Thanks so much John and Cindy! We know the mics will make a big difference and have ordered some after talking with a few different vloggers 😊
swans don't eat duck weed? 🤣😂🤣😊
😂

More like ploughing than sailing ?
