Do you know what the best kind of hall-effect sensor I should look for in order to measure RPM in case I don't want tot use that specific module?

Can those modules be used to mesure high rpms? Like an engine tachometer
Sure they can be, it's just that the engine vibrates a lot, so you have to figure out some rigid mounting for the magnet and the hall sensor.
it's better if you include your code in a pastebin
