What did you think of this episode? Let me know! 👇
Really enjoy your breakdowns Eli. I liked the fun of the storytelling, particularly Andrew’s drama-kid😁 They said it was great to film the history. The stoning was terrifying. The camera work is exceptional. Joey Vahedi/Thomas does some great work this season.
The conflicts are heavy and more frequent, so is the scripture. The weight of sin is becoming stronger and so is Jesus stronger. The Chosen Actor’s Amazing!
Amen in Agreement with you!
Great episode! I thought the terror that Joey bought to Thomas during the rock throwing scene was very believable. Every actor in this show was perfectly chosen.
I love this scene where Matthew and John😊
Great episodes, thanks for elaborating!!
Loved the episode. Great comments Eli.
Thank you for the recap
Very well done! I liked the historical citations. A+
Agree very well done !!
Thank you, I hadn't realized the feast of the dedication was connected to the stoning passage. Makes sense why Dallas chose to put it in this episode. Hanukkah might be farther away from the Passover in the calendar, but the stoning, storywise, is a perfect set up for Holy Week....
Love the Vidoe Eli! Keep up the good work!
I love this episode too!
Great Show! Thank you!
My favorite part was Jesus confronting the Pharisees and the whole stoning scene but it did kind of annoy me that they showed an American Western style Hanukkah with the gift giving. A friend of mine who lives in Israel said that back then gifts werent given like that. If they gave anything to anyone, they would give food. I did enjoy the dramatic retelling of the history leading up to Hanukkah. Back when I was growing up in the synagogue all we were taught about was about Antiochus and the pig and then the Maccabee brothers beating them back and the temple being cleansed.
I guess historical accuracy of holiday traditions took a back seat to showing developing relationships between the disciples.
At the end, I had subtitles turned on and Judas was saying "This is the true Church". Like he was trying to talk himself into believing. It seems to me like he wanted full understanding before he would trust and follow Jesus.
