Toyota and Honda both have been working on humanoid robots for over 2 decades. With Darpa's robotics challenge, it's made progress. Add to that boston dynamics, it's getting closer. Elon's timeline of when Tesla robot will be ready is mostly hype. The robotics domain is quite diverse and there's lots of groups doing great research. If we look at how pandemic cycles have been accelerating over the last 2 decades, it's clear robots can reduce the down time. From Tesla's perspective, it makes sense to automate human labor where possible to reduce down time and improve efficiency.
If you want to see practical robotics, just watch boston dynamics or darpa robot challenge.
Tesla's claim is for a prototype to be unveiled not a fully functional Robot.
You are lamenting whether the camaras will be hd and hdr?? C’mon,
I work for a car manufacturer, the cyber truck cannot looks like that, the panels can’t be pressed like that.
I'm a little slow but it isn't that Dojo chip supposed to be quantum processing at a higher level just asking
I kinda love this channel. How did that even happen.
Like he came to your apartment and told you his works...block this kid..
Question: Based on Elon's previous comments isn't the ultimate and real reason Elon is developing Optimus to save humanity by allowing himself and others to live forever as a sentient bio-mech and/or mechatronic humanoid robot? After all, a sentient humanoid robot with a "digital thumbprint" of our mind could survive pandemics like COVID-19 better than a biological human. And survive in outer space much better than biological beings. Isn't that the future of Optimus? Your thoughts?
I hope Jacque Fresco’s dream of the venus project / resource based economy comes true one day ❤
I hope you find what you are looking for eventually.
Looks alot like the synths from Fallout 4.
What could go wrong?
“Unlikely” things happen in California all the time.
A heard of moose crossing the street is unlikely? Obviously you’ve never been to Canada
Eh!
I'm looking forward to a human like sinew that is the basic drive mechanism for the robot. Tired of all the bellcranks and levers.
No mention of 1000 times more compute power. No mention of AI self programming. No mention of education of smart kids.
Artificial General Intelligence is here and already works. All that is left is to give it a body and tasks to perform.
@@scamchan problem is need nuralink too talk too tesla bot. why musk making it for human too tesla bot. so your safe in the mars habitat controlling the tesla bot as it does the work for you.
@@hillbillyintheasia6122 AH yeah well I am sure That "link" will have a place and time for it to be used.
Well before that I am sure The bot will be able to navigate its environment and handle tasks assigned to it without going off on its own to ruin MARS.
Because I am sure Humans are not emotionally ready to build non stop on Mars doing the hard work needed there.
Why do Musk fans want to see "Cylons" developed??????? Remember when your leader warned about the danger of AI?
@@DavidJohnson-tv2nn " Remember when your leader warned about the danger of AI"
Remember we have been warned of all kinds of danger LIKE
Global warming
Glacier melting
Ozone layer
Acid rain
Fossil fuels
Gun danger
Virus danger
Water danger
Mental Health danger
Somehow Humans are still here surviving.
The funny thing is we were warned about the dangers of AUTOMOBILES too when people used horses - guess what happened?
We were also warned about the dangers of Electricity too hmm How well did that turn out?
Seems anything that has the power to advance society is a danger.
Now imagine your world without Automobiles or Electricity.
That is really dangerous don't you think?
We left the caves for a reason.
My guess is that they will show of some great stuff that MSM will not realy get the greatness of but it will vacume up all talent in the field, and in 5 years it will be a gamechanger. They will send them to Mars.
Totally real and not fake Tesla Bot!
Lets get that full auto Telsa Taxi and Cybertruck in the market rather ran more promisses that will get forgoten about!
What better way to build on the moon or Mars ahead of human exploration 🧐
Great, thanks.
A dancing man in lycra? I’ll reserve judgement until I see otherwise.
Just make it so we can upload our consciousness onto the cloud then into a Tesla bot lol
Musk: These robots will take over all of the boring jobs so you don't have to do them.
Me: They're gonna take mah job!
I like it optimist
I'd like to see Teslabot mimic the movements of a human wearing AR goggles (to see through the robot's eyes) and monitored by cameras, with the robot AI handling balance and movement planning. Tactile and haptic feedback would be a bonus.
That would enable remote work 'through' a robot as a training data source, analogous to monitoring human driven cars. Even if self-directed humanoid robots don't take off, it'll be very useful for doing work 'outdoors' on Mars, as well as dangerous situations on Earth.
thats a great application that is actualy within reach this century... too many people overestimate AI capabilities and have unrealistic expectations over the next 30 years
SO SHWEEEETTT...much love Tee with LIONS NAMED LEO.[the music worldwide}
AND ooo weee cool.!!!!
I like the sound of this narrator much better than the other one that sounds whiny
I'll be impressed if they wheel Optimus out on a stretcher and have some basic interaction with it. I think the expectations are a bit too high here.
Don't forget Elon time.
How does tesla create a 3s vector space without binocular vision?
I have not seen a Binocular for a long time
Good job on this video. Always informative and well made. You are becoming one of my go to channels.
Trust me this is years away ..... for real
I would like it to play the old Atari games with an old joystick, pick up a cat and make the dishes.
I don't believe it no robots will be here by the end of September
he is sick of amber and wants a meaningful relationship with a bot.
You didn't even talk about what the title says!!!
Can the bot dance better than the last one? Elon should of got a better dancer.
if anyone has watched BOTH total recall movies you know where this is heading.
total recall? Or do you mean the terminator movies?
Or maybe you're referring to "I hope you enjoyed the ride, haha"
DOJO could learn to build a 2D input interface from machine to the human brain through the human eye. Most processors take in more info than they output, sort of like internet download / upload speeds. Eye input to hand motion is an example. Harnessing human decision making faster training the human brain to work with a computer would game changing.. it would be like learning to play a game with no electrodes in the brain.
Hope Optimus can button a dress shirt and put in cuff links 😊
Which 'other computer in the world' is operating at 10 to the power of 18 and who trained it and how??
Brains! 👍 😃
An exaFLOP is one quintillion (1018) floating-point operations per second, or 1,000 petaFLOPS.
10^18
The ^ is above the 6 on my keyboard
Elon, the Hittite. OK.
The cringiest part are people still not understanding the claims features to the bot are near vaporware achievable on the current decade. And using a Bot for household applications is like hammering a nail with laptop.
Grammar? Haha what are you trying to say man
1. I'd love to see Tesla Bot walk out on stage and a random guy in the audiance asks, "Tesla Bot stand on your head." and Tesla Bot responds by fliping him the bird. 2. If Tesla made a deal with Samsung for camras those camras better have freeking high end night vision and infra-red capability to see people and animals in the road in inclament weather at night. Especialy on the Cyber Truck.
