  • We sat down to reminisce with three of DPC’s crane operators; Paddy Paisley, Tony Forde and Liam O’Brien who have a combined service of over 100 years of working in Dublin Port.
Historically 13 different types of cranes were once the heartbeat of the Port, handling cargo like coal, timber, grain and bananas.
Paddy, Tony and Liam provide a unique insight into life as a crane driver, climbing up to 115 feet to operate cranes like the iconic 1960’s Crane 292 which now sits proudly restored to its former glory adjacent to Port Centre. Take a look!
