Back when I was young drive in movies were everywhere. Wish they would come back. I remember those speakers and cars had no AC. They had a Jeep with a huge gun of some type and they would spray for mosquitos so you could keep your windows open. They did it a little before the movie started so everyone was in their cars. Not sure what kind of highly toxic chemicals they used but it worked great. If there was no breeze it would just linger in the air. How anyone my age is still alive is amazing! Oh and lead paint doesn't taste that bad if you wash it down with water from the garden hose.

Drive-In tip. Living in Branson, we have 3 that are only about 75 miles away. When we go, we use an FM radio app on our phones, tune in to the correct station and use earbuds. This allows us to hear everything better while sitting outside the car or while in the restroom or snack area. 🎉

Enjoyed a look at my hometown! I think there was blue-green algae in the pond at the blue whale so it's not safe. I imagine the liability insurance would be steep for a pond too. They should stock it and make it a fishing pond. We used to drive by that on the way to Missouri years ago and there would be tons of people out on it and in the pond.

drive in are a great experience to pass on, we have one of the few originals not far from us and make it a point to go a couple times a year. Sure its not Dolby digital etc.. but that's part of the experience, our local drive in still has the original 1950s window speakers if you want to use them. The coolest part of our local Drive in is they offer camping spaces, you can camp out in a tent or your RV at the drive in.

Hey Eric another great one in the can as they say. So maybe someday you could do a filler wishlist (for me) video with say a, 15-20 or ??? second montage look at all the weird, fun, cool, tasty and amazing stops.... so far, that you've had on Route 66. With just the right keywords, bet it would garner a lot of views.
I dig the long and the short vids. When they are jam packed as these, they still don't feel long at all. The added details are much enjoyed. Loved the airbnb at the drive-in. Great concept. Very cool retro trailers. Glad you found this place and shared it.
Safe travels to you, Tara-beara and Opie-dopie. AKA Lady Plushbottom and her sidekick, Fuzzball. 😅
Tater's looking strong n mean. I like it!!!
