The genetic blending of this Man and Women together create greatness. Little James has Sonya's personality while Malcolm is more Big James. Little James looks exactly like his mother. This was a great sit down. These two raised a good quality man in Malcolm for sure. I know Malcolm knee (ACL) and the bone break above the tibia is pretty bad, but I hope that he heals up quickly. Thank you for this interview Swapmoto Live, appreciate it whole heartedly.

This may sound weird, but we Love to see interviews like this of Mom and dad, like we like listening and watching the boys. Great family and great family of this wonderful sport, we call motocross.
Big James signed my son's helmet when my son was 13. He said to my Son not to give up on his bike, even if it's just riding. I couldn't keep my son in the sport because the money not being made, but now he is 20 and still rides on his own and still has that helmet. My son is doing the Van life in Florida trying to get a Job at a track out there and hopping they will let him camp at the track as well. He took his Yamaha and his YT MTB bike to ride there.
My Son told Big James, thank you for Helping James become who he is and who Malcolm is and who he will be in motocross.
They both talked to us as if we know them for years. I believe it's from showing respect to them, they will show it back. Always been so kind to others.

Went with a buddy to pick up a CR125R from a gentleman in his 40's in Eva, Alabama a couple of years ago. The guy was a real enthusiast and long-term moto fan, and the only reason he was selling the bike was to make room for a CR250R still in the crate to put on display in his man-cave shop building. Bike purchase took all of 30 min, but chatted with the guy for over 3 hours.
Anyway, he recalled going to spectate a race somewhere in North Florida in the late 90s. Said the track was so chewed up from all the big bikes that all the 85's struggled to even make laps at all (let alone quickly) due to being so deep in the ruts that they were snagging constantly. But one kid was ripping through with a race pace.
They went over to that kid's pit to see how he was able to not get caught in the ruts. The kid was James Stewart Jr., and his father Big James had removed the foot pegs from the bike, meaning Bubba was using the hinge brackets as foot pegs.

the difference to me on James crashes (some are pro error) and some are because he was to dang fast for the designs of the tracks. Small and tight tracks not so bad, but don't make a track that should be wide open, short jumps.
I always thought, make a track on the outside of the supercross track for James, Tomac, Kenny and a few others to triple, manual, and flat out crazy style stuff like the MOVIE RAD. that way they could stay upright and win more races.
I saw James in his 125 flying after a couple falls in the main at St Louis. He started in front and after his fall. was back close to 10th. back up to second. the only reason he didn't win, was because that was the last lap. James is like the Jimmi Hendrix of motocross. That H U G E jump in Florida Jet's brother crashed on at practice, that is the kind of jump that in these days would be nothing now if they made those for James 10-years ago.
I LIKE WHAT BIG JAMES SAID ABOUT LITTLE JAMES: Little James Was Better Then His Motorcycles. Thats So true.
