@@chamallow989 ..give it a rest. Lea saved this show, which is perhaps the most difficult role ever to be played on Broadway. People make mistakes, she's getting her second chance and we are all better for it.
What Lea was able to accomplish with Funny Girl is a TOUR DE FORCE!!!! Everyone said before she started that she couldn't save such a bad production. And yet, she proved everybody wrong. Based on her TALENT alone, she was able to breath excitement, sex appeal and reality into this flawed show. She saved the show, pure and simple. She's a miracle worker.
What do you mean by a bad and flawed production? I saw both Julie Benko and Lea Michelle performed. They’re both amazing and Funny Girl is easily one of the best shows I’ve ever seen - but it’s also because the production was also great. The set, the lighting, the other actors and actresses, the choreography. I don’t think they’re bad at all. I love all aspects of the show (except maybe some noisy claps in the middle of a performance when Lea was singing lol).
I’ve said it once, and I’ll say it again she’s with the show needed. I mean, even Mr. Karimloo is saying that now his character actually has more to work with because of her.
Absolutely! The ONLY thing that is ticking me off is NOW that's she's basically rescued a critical FLOP and is making MILLIONS for the production, people like Jenna and Kevin and ESPECIALLY Ryan Murphy are coming out of the woodworks after letting her be labeled as a monster/racist knowing damn well she stayed on Glee to save people's jobs! I'm not excusing any bad behavior she may have had, but I am saying that there are too many NICE people in the industry who have spoken well about her kindness, hell even Naya Rivera said that they had patched things up and she thought Lea was a sweet girl. All of a sudden Jenna and Kevin are "inviting her" to their podcast and RM wants to revisit Glee. I'd tell them all to go kick rocks. I can't WAIT to see her for my b next month

Tbh after watching some of beanie’s and lea’s interviews, that does seem true. I get that beanie was probably excited but she seemed not to talk about the rest of the cast unless they were in the interview with her, whereas lea has seemed to make it a point to mention them (i get that she is coming into the show under much different conditions than beanie tho)
@ I don’t mean to be rude or disrespectful to you, but conditions shouldn’t matter if you can’t be bothered to show enough humility to you know give credit to the people who are basically helping you, especially in the case of beanie who needed the help or she needed help it says a lot and not only that but I also noticed that Lee gave credit to beanie and Julie now Julie I can understand because they were working together but the fact that Lee gave credit to beanie even though she really didn’t need to that speaks volumes about which one of the two ladies is the professional.
@@Leamichellefan2244 i dont think i worded what i was trying to say correctly. I agree with what you’re saying about both of them, i just meant that lea seemed a bit more subdued (not sure if that’s the right word to use) in her interviews in comparison to beanie, which makes sense to me as her coming into this show had a bit more weight to it (what with all the drama of beanie being cast in the first place, lea being as famous as she is, and the whole glee/rachel berry discourse as well). I think it was really nice to see in her interviews how genuinely happy she was to be there (and with the other cast members looking slightly relieved that she was there too). I think her being there also gave ramin, Jared and Tovah more time to shine as well
@@frances1227 oh no, no no I agree with you. I agree with you Lee was excited yes but she was definitely more subdued which to me screams professionalism and yes, I think all of the cast were relieved that she was there they were. They were probably thinking thank God now I can focus on what I have to do and I don’t have to worry about propping someone up who clearly shouldn’t even be here. You can’t tell me that didn’t cross their mind at least once.
I saw Funny Girl with Lea Wed evening and I ABSOLUTELY HATED peoples clapping during Lea's songs before the end. As a vocal student I want to hear every note she hits & savor it. Please people be patient and stop doing this !!!!
I'm so glad I saw Julie Benko in the show! I wouldn't pay 10 cents to see LM In anything! Julie deserves what the producers gave to Lea on a silver platter. Lea does NOT DESERVE her dream role. This is a disgusting case of toxic behaviors being rewarded by desperate and shady producers. I don't care what Lea sounds like when she sings-- she is egocentric, toxic, and disingenuous. For those who say Lea seems kind and humble and calm now, this video is a PRESS JUNKET. The cast is trying to sell and save the show, and Lea is doing PR "damage control" on herself. I feel terrible for everything the other cast members have endured these past few months.
I get what you are saying.... that's your opinion, which you are trying to shove down people's throats in you shouty comment.... Plenty of people disagree with you (& are buying tickets in droves). But if you detest LM so much, why are you looking at her videos ?? You are making yourself mentally ill, if you aren't that already.
I’m getting the vibe that Lea Michele has indeed grown as a person since Glee, like we’d all hoped.
I hope so. Unfortunately for her, people will never forget her past nomatter how she is now.
i don't think so
@@catrionabruce3 well she has and if you don’t wanna see it well honey that’s on you.
@@chamallow989 I think she has and if people don’t wanna see her differently that’s their problem and not hers people need to let go of the past.

My goodness, Ramin Karimloo is gorgeous. 😅 Very happy for Lea and the rest of the cast! It sounds like an incredible show, I really hope to see it!
Just saw the show last night. It was terrific and Lea was amazing. Seems born for the role.
Tovah Feldshuh seems so wise.
She was born in 1948 she’s been around the block

She sure did I saw her in it on Wednesday and she and the rest of the cast are amazing.
Perhaps the MOST difficult role to play on Broadway. Glad she made it her own and the critics were won over. Quite a triumph..!!

I love lea so much and I’m so happy she’s well again and back on stage in funny girl and doing what she loves to do.
I'd love to hear that at some point the cast find out that Barbra Streisand has quietly shown up to see the show. It would be totally surreal.
Lea is amazing. She’s grown so much and is honestly such an amazing person
lol no
yes!!
Go home, Lea.

Ramin looks so much like Omar Sharif and I love it
Perfect casting they are the best casting yasssss
Tovah Feldshuh is an absolute delight.
Lee is absolutely freaking amazing.
yes perfect casting...
Did anyone else notice how Lee says it’s our show and she doesn’t make it all about her, whereas when beanie was in it, it was always Mimi, Mimi Mimi.
