- A quick guide on how to post your art in high quality on Instagram. And how to make sure Instagram doesn't ruin it for you. I recorded a step by step process of what I personally choose to do each time I post my drawing. I hope you enjoy!

Marika be like :
"Youre just going to name your canvas"
*puts random letters*
"Ah yes, beautiful name"
Indeed Marika, beautiful name it is 😌
All my works are named so randomly I have a hard time finding them later 🥲 I should probably change that habit.
@@MarikaBoniuk i do that too sometimes and then spend hours looking for the file :"D
Omg you're a life saver I really needed this! 😭 I am losing my mind trying to post a hq pic
I’m glad it’s useful 😊🧡

@@MarikaBoniuk hi Marika! Can you help me? I’m trying to resize my illustration in procreate but it doesn’t resize the whole drawing, it chops it 😢 pls someone help!
I always crop and use the Instagram size but always in PNG , now ı clearly see what ı do wrong. thank you Marika! Gonna try this asap
Bro why insta eats quality of my photos if I put them in carousel? Same photos if uploaded solo look solid but in carousel it’s trash and blurry!
Helped me so much. I thought my artwork is just too small (pixel-wise) but it's actually the opposite.
I was super confused at first too! I remember working on these huge canvases that my laptop could barely handle opening at the time, and my posts always looked so bad 😩 It took me a while to figure it out.
I like your workflow. I'm helping my Illustrator friend who isn't social media savvy start an Instagram account. I asked him to compress the images in Procreate before sending them to me, but they're coming out really soft. I sent him this video. Thank you!
like a manager!
I tried this and my photos are still so blurry when i upload them 😅 i don't understand what im doing wrong 😞
are they still blurry? I'm a beginner and I'm trying everything.. It still won't come out crispy. Saving it as PNG might help
Ma'am, I mean not to frighten you, but you have a beast roaming your room. Be on the lookout!
I have had some learning curve problems posting art on Instagram. Not realising that IG has size limits with pics and then they get blurred. This video is very informative! Thanks!
Thank you for all this, always I was not too fond of Instagram for the post gallery and never got how everyone else was looking good, I tried this and now my drawings look way better, again thanks ^-^
I was having problems on instagram before watching this video! You have saved me from a serious headache and I thank you!
No problem! I'm glad it was helpful ❤
thank you so much i was so confused why it was looking so low quality 😭😭
OWH i do that too w my drawings!!! I copy paste it on another canvas cuz instagram has horrible cropping and makes the quality of everything so bad 😭😭
Yes! And I don’t like to mess/crop the original file. Imagine accidentally saving it 🥲
Hi Marika. Should I do the same in Procreate? I just tried and the immage looks blurry. Maybe Procreate is not the best app to do it in? Ty
ty so much Marika now my instagram post is so clean
Trying this next time I upload something, thanks!
OMG this was super helpful. Thank you so much🥰🥰❤️❤️
I’m so glad you think so! 🧡
I will try it. And then come back again and thankyou for this wonderful knowledge. 😊
Amazing! Sooo helpful! Thank you!
Glad it was helpful! 💗
I will try it! Thank you so much!!!!
Thank you 🙏🏻🥰❤️ so much
Any time!
YAY U POSTED ON YT AGAIN!!
Haha, I’m back! 🧡💪
Very helpful video - thanks!! 🥳
Thank you so much!!
Thank you SOO much for the help!:) Really appreciate it!
🧡🧡🧡
No one gonna talk about the bunny 😭💕 and the video was very helpful ✨
how about for procreate?
This was really helpful. Thank you! 🙂 I also like your art. I'll be sure to check your tutorials for drawing and digital painting. I struggle a lot with the hair! 😑
Thanks a lot! Really helpful!
🧡🧡🧡
Salute Queen 👸
i just did all of this and it’s still really bad quality ? any tips haha i’m desperate 😭
I’m going to try this later and pray it works. The vid came out a year ago so I don’t know if IG changed anything. But if it works I can officially change my IG into a more art focused account.
It still works for me! I'll keep my fingers crossed it does for you as well 🧡
This was helpful ❤️
Thank you ❤️
🧡🧡
Thank youu
It is still looking 100 % bad seriously. Its so bad. I compressed it. I don't know what to do now. Can't figure out what's happening. I can't even tell they are same images. 😳 I wish someone would help me to figure it out.
Bro why insta eats quality of my photos if I put them in carousel? Same photos if uploaded solo look solid but in carousel it’s trash and blurry!
Maybe I missed it, but how are you then posting the picture from Photoshop on your computer to Instagram? Airdrop? Thanks
Oh, I usually Airdrop the photo onto my iPhone. But I also used to send these to myself via email some time ago 😊
@@MarikaBoniuk Do Bluetooth help?
thank you so much! i already ruin several arts with croping another way//
And for Csp? 😭
What if I don't want cropped image?
I tried this and it still doesn't work, I have no idea what else to do. Is it because I'm posting from android??? I tried posting directly from my PC but still the same results.
i dont have photoshop what should i do
Does the same settings apply on krita as well?
0:57 me : 1600 × 2000 😭
I just like to paint on big canvases so that I can zoom a lot without it pixelating ❤ but it's definitely not necessary to use such big canvases.
hi , what if i dont change the dpi to 72 ? bcs i usually use 300
Higher dpi is mostly relevant if you're printing your work! 300 dpi is what I use if I want to print something. 72 is quite normal for sharing your work online, but it depends where! (And higher dpi means larger file size too).
Hey! I work on ibis paint cuz I'm very broke and I'm a minor, on ibis paint there is no "resolution" thing, is the dpi the same thing? Thank you
Im not sure if you still are curious, but Dpi and resolution are the same thing ^^
Very cool
Thanks! 🧡
Didnt work for me smh
I'm still confused 😕
yooo spiderman's girlfriend aka mary jane is on youtubeee lezz gooo new sub
aaa, I actually wish I looked like her 😭🧡
@@MarikaBoniuk not tryna be creepy but you got the same smile now that I look carefully. This is the closest someone can get before being deemed as a doppelgänger
and also.. about the video, you actually need to convert the image to sRGB.. to avoid colour de-saturation. since IG converts to sRGB and desaturates images and you wouldn't want that.
In photoshop, go to "Edit" then "Convert to profile" then select "Working RGB - sRGB"
how did you copy all of your art in 2:40?
If you select your canvas and use Edit > Copy merged (or a shortcut: Command/Ctrl + Shift + c), it will copy all the layers you have visible on the canvas 😊 So when you go to a different document and paste it, you'll have it all on one layer.
how do you transfer it from laptop to phone? i tried by using airdrop but the quality is so bad when I posted it on ig 😭
I connect my charger cable to the computer and cell phone, and transfer the drawings to the cell phone folder manually (this does not change the photo quality) but if you prefer, use your GoogleDrive to upload your drawings
in the cloud and then download them all by cell phone.
I Airdrop them now, but I used to send these to myself via email in the past as well (and it works great too) 😊
💕💞
🧡🧡
I have a trouble reading the thumbnails .
LMFAO
For Paint Tool SAI 2 is the same process?
Geez, I had no idea it was a big deal 😨
what's the right method to upload in order to avoid compression? straight from phone or desktop app?
I always upload from my phone 🧡
@@MarikaBoniuk thank you
