However it would be good if you can demonstrate the differences in reading a chart using Lahiri vs your recommended Pushya Paksha Ayanamsa - especially the main Varga charts D9 and D10. It is hard to believe that the decades of chart readings and teachings have to be undone and re-done with a different ayanamsa.

Namaste Narasimha Garu, I was feeling this - I could be wrong. In 286AD, the makara masa started close to Dec 21st/ Dec 22 the 'Southern Most Point as per your video at 1:18. That is also the Capricon (western zodiac reference - Dec 22ish) sun sign. After 300 AD, western world astrologers (who were following Vedic astrology) went underground or were persecuted after Christianity swept Rome and other places. I strongly feel that Christmas currently celebrated was a pagan 'uttarayana punya kalam' celebration that the Church decided to make it their own celebration to efficiently convert pagan (Vedic religion practitioners). Today in many states including Tamil Nadu, Uttarayana punya kalam is celebrated with the makara masa (Approx Jan 13/14) - even though the uttarayana (northward movement of the sun) punya kalam should be celebrated at the winter solstice. Kanchi mutt panchangam is slowly in small font have mentioned 'makarayanam' in dhanur masa (5 or 6 days into dhanur masa) coinciding with the actual solstice. Respected Gurujii, I have used the Pushyapaksha Ayanamsha and Lahiri too. I think it there is lack of awareness about this Ayanamsha. I am still in my Visharada studies. Possibly Next year it will finish. I have already made some great analysis and a few predictions based on your teachings. It worked fairly well. Excellent. Very well explained, Sir. However, I would like to point out the some shortcomings in Jagannath Hora. I recently found that the Jagannath Hora was off by around a month for Tithi Pravesha. Here is the problem statement: - A native born was on Ramanavami on 20th April, 1975. - Jaganath Hora shows the the Annual Tithu Pravesha for this native as May 7th, 2022. - But we know that the Ramanavami in 2022 was on 10th April. So, in this case Jaganath Tithi Pravesha is off by around a month. Kindly advice on this.
With the settings I use, I _do_ get TP on April 10, 2022. Check your settings. Click "Preferences", "Related to calculations" and "Tithi Pravesha Calculation Options". The checkbox "Use solar (as opposed to soli-lunar) months in Tithi Pravesha" should be unchecked. That option is there because Pt Rath teaches (or at least taught at one time) using solar months instead of soli-lunar months. April 20 is in Nirayana Mesha maasa and April 10 is in Nirayana Meena maasa. So he prefers April 15-May 15 for for the TP. But I am confident that is wrong.

Lahiri ayanamsha is the reason for most divorces among Hindus (Moon's degree way off, nakshatra charan, Nadi etc comes wrong in many horoscopes, wrong horoscope matching because of that)

Guru ji, thanks a million for this clarity. I have been debilitated with the confusion between Tropical zodiac vs Sidereal after compelling argument by Astrologer Ernst Wilhelm who says that Precision is not known to Ancient Indians which I can not fully accept. So since then, I have been using his Kala software with Dhruva equatorial longitude for Nakshatra positions while using tropical Raasis being super imposed. In my insignificant experience, I realised few things seem to work better in tropical Ayanamsha while the other things seem to work better in sidereal. So was confused as hell. But thanks a million for clarifying that both sidereal and Tropical were known to Rishis. Can you talk more about it and when to use which and how to handle them? This is the most needed area of help for all Astrological enthusiasts. Kindly do a lengthy video on this 🙏🙏🙏. Also can you be kind enough to use equatorial longitude or ecliptic longitudes if I were to see pushya paksha ayanamsha in Kala or any other astrological softwares? Please please help 🙏🙏🙏.
Some people have exploited the confusion about ayanamsa to push for tropical zodiac to be used in charts. That is certainly wrong and they are misled. Even if you use a wrong ayanamsa, you'll at least be in the right ball park and get the right rasi chart most of the time. Don't fall for these tricks and switch to tropical.

I have read how the days were named and the sequence by surya-sidhantha.. But the very first assignment is arbitrary, is it not? So is any day different from another astrologically? For e.g. If a planet is Vargottam and Lagnesh, but is Combust, how will the planet gives its consequences in the life of that person. Hi Sir. This was an eye opening video. I have been using the Janmbhoomi Panchang (Hope you are familiar with it), to learn how to cast charts. This panchang has a detailed table for calculating daily Ayanamsa. My question is where can I find an equally detailed table for Pushya Paksh Ayanamsa? Would like to analyse the differential between charts casted using Lahiri and Pushya Paksh.
I used to use Raman Ayanamsa previously & I now trust the Pushyapasha Ayanamsa compared to any other. The transits of Jupiter & Saturn are where the problem is seen so starkly by me. Thank You PVR Narasimha Rao gaaru.

When using Jhora with Drik Siddhanta and Pushya Paksha Ayanamsa ( Or Lahiri Ayanamsa), should we choose Geocentric or Topocentric option in Planetary calculations? Dasha dates change from several days to months when swapping between these two options. Many places i read that topocentric option is best as it is from the actual place of birth. But then don't we use birth coordinates while casting a chart with Geocentric approach?

I calculated transits for the same data and time for 2 different people, one 6 yr old, another 42 yr old person. I see that the Lagna for both the transits was 6 degrees apart. I am using "calculation options as recommended by author"
@@mattb.455 yes...some of my life events are explained better in dashas using chitra paksha aynamsha which is the default setting in jhota, as compared to the pushya paksha aynamsha. One theory i have is that maybe chitra (the star) moves more in line with all yhe other stars/constellations in the zodiac. On the other hand the star pushya, although very stable, may be getting stuck in one place while the whole zodiac has shifted.

Can you provide source to say which rishi said that Nakshatras and zodiac are irrevocably and permanently related? For example: when Ramayana was written, Krittika was the first nakshatra. The starting nakshatra changes every 2000 years. The tying of zodiac to nakshatrras is a modern-day misuderstanding Surya Siddhanta says zodiac is tropical. Where does it mention that it is based on sidereal? We should use tropical zodiac with sidereal nakshatras Also Pushya Paksha is farther off from Lahiri by more than 1 degree and the positions change dramatically. And if we base off divisional charts, it is farther off. Request you to please research further into using a tropical zodiac with sidereal nakshatras
Sirji, Applicable dasha on any chart is also programmable. Once we know all applicable dasha , all we need to do is to find strength of driving planet . This will save lot of time and trying multiple combination will become easy 🙏🙏

Already there are videos in RUclips on how to download, install and use Jagannatha Hora. It's very simple. While downloading and installing it is a child's play, usage takes a day or two by persistently dabbling in it. Good luck. For better usage of it, it's essential we know the basics of astrology.

However it would be good if you can demonstrate the differences in reading a chart using Lahiri vs your recommended Pushya Paksha Ayanamsa - especially the main Varga charts D9 and D10. It is hard to believe that the decades of chart readings and teachings have to be undone and re-done with a different ayanamsa.

Namaste Narasimha Garu, I was feeling this - I could be wrong. In 286AD, the makara masa started close to Dec 21st/ Dec 22 the 'Southern Most Point as per your video at 1:18. That is also the Capricon (western zodiac reference - Dec 22ish) sun sign. After 300 AD, western world astrologers (who were following Vedic astrology) went underground or were persecuted after Christianity swept Rome and other places.
I strongly feel that Christmas currently celebrated was a pagan 'uttarayana punya kalam' celebration that the Church decided to make it their own celebration to efficiently convert pagan (Vedic religion practitioners).
Today in many states including Tamil Nadu, Uttarayana punya kalam is celebrated with the makara masa (Approx Jan 13/14) - even though the uttarayana (northward movement of the sun) punya kalam should be celebrated at the winter solstice. Kanchi mutt panchangam is slowly in small font have mentioned 'makarayanam' in dhanur masa (5 or 6 days into dhanur masa) coinciding with the actual solstice.

However, I would like to point out the some shortcomings in Jagannath Hora.
I recently found that the Jagannath Hora was off by around a month for Tithi Pravesha.
Here is the problem statement:
- A native born was on Ramanavami on 20th April, 1975.
- Jaganath Hora shows the the Annual Tithu Pravesha for this native as May 7th, 2022.
- But we know that the Ramanavami in 2022 was on 10th April.
So, in this case Jaganath Tithi Pravesha is off by around a month.
Kindly advice on this.
With the settings I use, I _do_ get TP on April 10, 2022. Check your settings. Click "Preferences", "Related to calculations" and "Tithi Pravesha Calculation Options". The checkbox "Use solar (as opposed to soli-lunar) months in Tithi Pravesha" should be unchecked. That option is there because Pt Rath teaches (or at least taught at one time) using solar months instead of soli-lunar months. April 20 is in Nirayana Mesha maasa and April 10 is in Nirayana Meena maasa. So he prefers April 15-May 15 for for the TP. But I am confident that is wrong.

Lahiri ayanamsha is the reason for most divorces among Hindus (Moon's degree way off, nakshatra charan, Nadi etc comes wrong in many horoscopes, wrong horoscope matching because of that)

Guru ji, thanks a million for this clarity. I have been debilitated with the confusion between Tropical zodiac vs Sidereal after compelling argument by Astrologer Ernst Wilhelm who says that Precision is not known to Ancient Indians which I can not fully accept. So since then, I have been using his Kala software with Dhruva equatorial longitude for Nakshatra positions while using tropical Raasis being super imposed. In my insignificant experience, I realised few things seem to work better in tropical Ayanamsha while the other things seem to work better in sidereal. So was confused as hell.
But thanks a million for clarifying that both sidereal and Tropical were known to Rishis. Can you talk more about it and when to use which and how to handle them? This is the most needed area of help for all Astrological enthusiasts. Kindly do a lengthy video on this 🙏🙏🙏.
Also can you be kind enough to use equatorial longitude or ecliptic longitudes if I were to see pushya paksha ayanamsha in Kala or any other astrological softwares? Please please help 🙏🙏🙏.
Some people have exploited the confusion about ayanamsa to push for tropical zodiac to be used in charts. That is certainly wrong and they are misled. Even if you use a wrong ayanamsa, you'll at least be in the right ball park and get the right rasi chart most of the time. Don't fall for these tricks and switch to tropical.
Precession was known to the Indian astronomers way back in antiquity, hence we could understand the tropical and sidereal zodiacs

I have a request Guruji, could you please throw light on Combust planets and what are the remedies to strengthen the same. For e.g. If a planet is Vargottam and Lagnesh, but is Combust, how will the planet gives its consequences in the life of that person. My humble request to explain because I've heard and seen that whenever there is a combust planet in the Lagna chart, the so called astrologers or pandits ask the person to wear a ring or do some other kriyas. When using Jhora with Drik Siddhanta and Pushya Paksha Ayanamsa ( Or Lahiri Ayanamsa), should we choose Geocentric or Topocentric option in Planetary calculations? Dasha dates change from several days to months when swapping between these two options. Many places i read that topocentric option is best as it is from the actual place of birth. But then don't we use birth coordinates while casting a chart with Geocentric approach?

One think i wanted to bring to your notice regarding JHora software...
I tried the following test...
I calculated transits for the same data and time for 2 different people, one 6 yr old, another 42 yr old person.
I see that the Lagna for both the transits was 6 degrees apart. I am using "calculation options as recommended by author"
@@mattb.455 yes...some of my life events are explained better in dashas using chitra paksha aynamsha which is the default setting in jhota, as compared to the pushya paksha aynamsha.
One theory i have is that maybe chitra (the star) moves more in line with all yhe other stars/constellations in the zodiac. On the other hand the star pushya, although very stable, may be getting stuck in one place while the whole zodiac has shifted.

For example: when Ramayana was written, Krittika was the first nakshatra. The starting nakshatra changes every 2000 years. The tying of zodiac to nakshatrras is a modern-day misuderstanding
Surya Siddhanta says zodiac is tropical. Where does it mention that it is based on sidereal?
We should use tropical zodiac with sidereal nakshatras
Also Pushya Paksha is farther off from Lahiri by more than 1 degree and the positions change dramatically. And if we base off divisional charts, it is farther off.
Request you to please research further into using a tropical zodiac with sidereal nakshatras
Sirji, Applicable dasha on any chart is also programmable. Once we know all applicable dasha , all we need to do is to find strength of driving planet . This will save lot of time and trying multiple combination will become easy 🙏🙏
