Headers or carb. ? I cheaped out on my headers and ordered them plain ,but I sprayed them with ceramic paint and they are holding up. Sprayed them about 5 years ago , touched them up a couple times .
I need to pull the headers back off and coat them but shew it's such a pain. A new carb is in the future but not yet. Eventually it'll have a blow through in case I ever want to go with boost. Thanks for watching!
@@StoneMountainAdventures ; I agree. Headers are a pain , but if ya let them rot , ya' still got to remove them to replace them. Catch 22 . Sometimes ya' can't win ! HAHA!
Next time, to save time.. Soak anything with rust in vinegar overnight or 2-3 days and that rust will just wipe off. Neutralize the reaction with baking soda water and you're good to go. All my old rusted bolts look brand new after vinegar and a wire brush
Yea and advanced has wrinkle paint and primer for the same price.. I prefer to do things on my own. Plus, I have had these covers on and off a number of times, I've flattened out the lips to make sure they seal, I know they don't leak, so why order some China brand stuff and hope they work?
I'm guessing a new intake manifold. And remember happy wife happy life lol.
Truth lol. But I'm already running a dual plane edelbrock performer intake. I appreciate the support and thanks for watching!

VHT paint is excellent. Never used wrinkle
Use 000 grit steel wool next time. One step for preparation before painting with primer
