As a 90s kid, I remember the glorious days when we used to flock around those PlanetM's store to buy cassettes and every album, from every film used to be different and so fitting to the mood. Miss those days. Thanks to you for refreshing the memory lane. Keep up
Totally agree with your list. These songs were superb... I feel Ek pal ka jeena, channa ve ghar aa ja ve, aashiq banaya aapne , aap ki kashish, tere bin by rabbi shergil, bheege honth tere and kaho na kaho (from the movie murder), kya hua jo laree chhootti (from ek chalees ki last local) were also way ahead of their times. In fact most of the songs from early 2000 era were way ahead of it's time
I'm sad that i stumbled upon this video after a year, but few songs that i would personally suggest were Dil Dooba from Khakee, Bardasht from Humraaz, all songs from Life in a metro. Oh boy! All these songs you listed were my playlists in 2000s. Great job man!
One song which I find really different is hey kay Sera Sera Sara from Pukar...that's a masterpiece from Rahman sir and beautifully voiced by both Kavita ji ajd shankar ji
This is the ultimate list! Also most Indipop songs feel really fresh even today like Paree hun main. Missed Move your body (Johnny Gaddar), Ada (Garam Masala), Uncha Lamba Kad (Welcome) and Nach Baliye (Bunty and Bubli) in the list...Damn we need a part two of this! PS. I really love O Humdum suniyo re coz it feels like calling out my name😆♥️
I usually do not like remake songs, but "aoge jab tum" by neeti mohan, is sooo beautifully made, and the instruments used, as you say is so good fitted. Plz give a review.
Glad to know that someone recognise KOI FARIYAD and that melody in the song..this is my one of favourite song not only because of jagjeet ji but of it's music. Appreciable work.
Neeraj Shridhar sir's all 2000s song was a gem... like Heyy babyy title song, Bhool bhulaiya title song, Khwab dekhe - Race, Aai pappi - Kismat Konnection, You Get Me Rocking & Reeling - Billu, Chor Bazari and Aahun aahun - Love aaj kal, Prem ki Naiya - APKGK, Tum Mile title song, Kya - Crook etc... I love all that songs especially You Get Me Rocking & Reeling - Billu...❤❤
Ah love this list! Make more of these!!! I am not much into rap but I love the rap in O Hundum and also the rap by Abhishek in Right here right now!! To me, rap sounds amazing when it is interestingly incorporated in a melody.
You won't believe all these songs were part of my car playlist back in 2010 except for 2 songs .. and I am gonna play all these today again back to back
All songs are so nostalgic. Bought my entire childhood in front of me. Sad now bollywood make very rare of such songs. Pappu can't dance saala is also cool! 😅😅😅😅😅 😌😌😌😌
I'm glad I've lived through that era while enjoying that music....most of these songs were in my top songs from that time and are still in my playlist.
”Piya Basanti”…..”Urvashi” ….”Kabhi Kabhi Aditi”….”Hosanna”…. …were a few among the greatest compositions till date ! ….and of course the “Queen of Indipop” Alisha Chinai, she has given us some fantastic pop numbers…. !!! Not to mention “Nazia Hassan” from Pakistan as it’s a list of music/musical/musicians ahead of their time !!!!!
The 2008 album "Ghajni"...Also has a very catchy party songs which are far ahead of their time ..Such as "behka" "latoo" and "ae bachu tu sun le " all the songs are amazing 😁
Exactly it was a remake but the songs were such a bop...Lattoo was my favorite,I guess shreya sang it right, jiya khan did justice to that song too. Also the telugu ghajini songs were awesome.hrudayam ekkadunnade song radio plays were so high and its magic didn't fade even after so many years.I m sure u ll like telugu album too once u listen if u haven't already listened to it
you took me to those good old days all at once with these songs..I agree with every song uve listed.. gonna listen to them again ..but it's night now so gonna listen to koi fariyaad.. nd diveinto memories.. one song I was thinking to mention was sayna sayna from Bluffmaster..
I find “Deewana Dil” from Pardes is very ahead of it’s time. Music build up, production and of course singing . Out of your list I personally love MP3 , everything about the song beside “Humdum Soniyo re”
All these songs are still in my playlist. Feels nostalgia. I have danced on most of those songs in my school functions and whenever I listen to those songs it takes me back to my school days. Pure love ❤
Why does this song has so much impact on me ..i dont even know how to express my feelings... when listening this song i feel as if im in some other world....or i feel like I'm depressed.
i clearly remember, at dat time i was in 7th standard, KOI FARIYAAD was d first song dat i really felt somewhere deep in my heart. I still have dat audio cassette. And from dat time till now i use to hear this ghazal. It always gives me a fresh feeling. It was my first love for the meaningful lyrics and soulful music..💞
though i am not so old, i was born in 2005, still i relate to the music, cuz i heard most of 2000's decades songs after 2010 when we got a computer. I have listened most of the songs there and felt nostalgic. I am definitely adding them to my spotify liked songs.
1) O sanam - LUCKY ALI 2) Dhoom - Euphoria 3) Tanha Dil - Shaan These 3 songs were too good,...like to know insights regarding them from u... By the way, great job bro 👍 keep up ❤😊
it felt great that you mentioned "Koi Fariyad". That usage of a ship horn was just out of the world! Also that saxophone part! All are being used in a Ghazal song, that too sung by none other than THE Jagjit Singh! Unimaginable audacity and pure genius!
I think those songs are not ahead of time, but today’s songs are far behind the time. 1995 to 2009 was the golden era for creative music. Both from films and albums.
All these songs are amazing. But you should have also included ye dooriyaan by mohit chauhan & pritam from love aaj kal (2009). That was very well produced and composed, the haah sounds in the start + synth sounds+ beat pattern + electric guitar Appreggios + splash sounds throughout + flute melody & arrangement was a very different. Opera sounds were also used in interlude, also in chorus . Strings were so well arranged. I feel ye dooriyaan deserves to be in this list . Still sounds so fresh!!!
Shikdum - Shaan & Shreya Dilbara - Abhijit Crazy Kiya re - Sunidhi Touch Me - KK & Alisha Chinoy Dil Laga Na - Soham & Sukhdev All were masterpieces & ahead of their times...
There were many other songs in that timeline like Fiqrana - Vijay Parkash Superchor (from oye Lucky Lucky oye movie) Blue theme song - various artists Dil ibadat- KK Bhool bhulaiya theme song And list goes on and on and thank you for giving nostalgia 😁
I have some French, South American, German plus some more European friends, I introduced them to Dust bahane and they instantly got hooked to Dus Bahane and now they all know complete lyrics of the song and we sing it in every party or get together, the song has even more meaning to me now!

Awarapan (2007) song 'Mahiya' can be included here, and 'Garaj Baras' from 'Paap' (2004) as well.
A big shoutout to "MAIN DEEWANA HOON" sung and composed by Ganesh Hegde !! Truly ahead of its time, still feels fresh..♥

As a 90s kid, I remember the glorious days when we used to flock around those PlanetM's store to buy cassettes and every album, from every film used to be different and so fitting to the mood. Miss those days. Thanks to you for refreshing the memory lane. Keep up
Planet M jaake wahan headphones kiosks pe naye gaane sunna 😊
Dil Dooba was exceptional!
Paree hun mein 🔥
Listen all Falguni Pathak song, still all are fresh.
Mere sang toh chal zara- New York- sundhi chauhan
"O Humdum Suniyo Re" I have been searching for this song for a very long time, I only had the beat in my mind. Thanks man!
Nostalgia at its best! 😢
A few more in my list are: Ya Ali, Bhulbhulaiya(title), Masakali, saaki saaki(original), Sharara sharara, Jane kyun
"Kiss me baby" from movie Garam masala, by adnan saami fits in this list
Yes bhool bhoolaiya title track definitely, so fresh

🤣 Max remade songs. U guys r so gullible. Ya ali is from Ya Ghali... Bhulbhulaiya is from Lecon.
I usually do not like remake songs, but "aoge jab tum" by neeti mohan, is sooo beautifully made, and the instruments used, as you say is so good fitted. Plz give a review.
Yes very romantic.
Vishal shekhar has definitely revolutionised the music of 2000s. These all songs have always been my go to.

Neeraj Shridhar sir's all 2000s song was a gem... like Heyy babyy title song, Bhool bhulaiya title song, Khwab dekhe - Race, Aai pappi - Kismat Konnection, You Get Me Rocking & Reeling - Billu, Chor Bazari and Aahun aahun - Love aaj kal, Prem ki Naiya - APKGK, Tum Mile title song, Kya - Crook etc... FINALLY, SOMEBODY TALKED ABOUT THE HAUNTING BEAT (FOR ME, I could feel my heart jumps out of that beat) OF "KOI FARIYAD" FROM TUM BIN.. 💞💞💞
