This man foresaw exactly what is happening to the U.S. today over 30 years ago. A Christian Manifesto was essentially prophetic. I hope to talk with this brother on the other side of eternity.
I agree 100% with you on Francis Schaeffer. His book "A Christian Manifesto" is one of the most brilliant inspirational books in the modern world 🌎 more likely than not. Also, he coauthored with the late great C. Everett Koop • "Whatever Happened to the Human Race?" • "Abortion and the Conscience of America" by late great Ronald Reagan • contains the article by Mr. Koop titled "The Slide to Auchwitz".
Remember that this interview was only 2 months before his death! He died in May of 1984 -- same year that this was taped. That's how a Christian goes out -- in Glory, proclaiming the virtues and lordship of Christ. Well Done Dr. Schaeffer Schaeffer is one of the few scholars that the prophet Leonard Ravenhill respected. Ravenhill called it "scholarship on fire"
Thank you for this! Decades since I have heard them. As a young Christian, wife and mother Mrs. Schaefer’s book “What is a Family?” changed my life! I still thank Jesus for this gifted and precious couple that shared their lives with the world❣️
We can not nail down the truth. It takes faith to believe that the truth was nailed to the cross, was buried and arose from death and sits at the right hand with God as God and grants us as adopted children of God as we believe
One can make such a legalist statement, but there is no such commandment. However, there is this one. “Remember your leaders, those who spoke to you the word of God. Consider the outcome of their way of life, and imitate their faith” (Heb. 13:7). If we were obedient to this command we might not be in the mess we are. Furthermore, if you are reasonable, consider the context. Dr. Schaeffer is appearing here while dealing with serious illness. They were overjoyed he made it. He would pass to be with the Lord not long after.

To the rest of rh church, the rest of the chapter instructs us on things we need to judge ..." beware false prophets ( a judgement of a person) , you shall know a tree by its fuit ( judging a person by their deeds), do not cast your pearls before swine ( a judgement of a person), do not give what is holy to dogs ( a judgement of a person). I’m sure that your misspelling of Schaeffer’s name (both father and son) and your flagrant disregard for the use basic grammar/punctuation in general have absolutely no bearing on your ability to discern the younger Schaeffer’s spiritual life and development. After reading your comment the scales have fallen from my eyes. And the dark crevices of my unbelieving soul have been illuminated. Preach!

Se mantendría a lo contemporaneo aceptable de hoy en día para entrar en conversación con la gente (entiendo que se refiere a metáforas de nuestra vida moderna, tal como Yeshua lo hizo, para llevarlos hasta la mano de Dios) Y que dado la vida para muchos no tiene ningún sentido, se debe volver a dar sentido y valor a la vida misma, mediante esa verdad común valida para todos. Y que no debemos olvidar que Dios se muestra de manera diferente o adaptado a cada persona pq tiene su propio carácter. En esencia fue eso lo que ha dicho. Saludos!
