    I have removed the tungsten electrode. Now it’s just the casing that’s stuck in there. I can see you have drilled the threaded part of the glow plug. Did you not have to create a new thread for the new new glow plug

    Hi, is it possible to remove electric connector even if it's not threaded (with plug)? The one on video looks like the one with plug. How the special screw holds there so strong, that you can use slide hammer to get connector out?

    • @Hubitools
      @Hubitools  2 года назад

      Hello, this tool makes possible to remove the glowplugs with a connector (for electrical) on top. If the glowplug had a threaded top, it won’t work.

    Don't get me wrong , these kits are all well and good and can get you out a situation.. but most of them have the same "Achilles heel" What it there in place to stop the drill or tap cuttings from falling into the cylinder??

    • @Hubitools
      @Hubitools  4 года назад +4

      The only moment when cuttings could fall in the cylinder chambre is when pulling the glowplug out. So right before doing it, it is important to either blow some air or even better use a magnet to remove everything. Adding grease to the thread of the puller and arround the extraction area will help by sticking dirt.

    Dear Hubitools team,
    The HU41051 kit on your website doesn't seem to have the electrode extractor tool that you show in the beginning of the video. What is the model number ?
    Thank you

      Hello sir,
      It indeed is included in the set HU41051. Both puller and drill (in case the electrode does not pull out using the puller tool)
      Thanks for your interest.

      Hi. Not sure to understand your question. Is it the thread part of the glowplug that needs to be extracted, or your craftsman extractor that broke that your need to pull?

      Hello, maybe you didn’t watch the whole video. We use the slide hammer to remove the electrical connector, then we remove the thread by drilling it. Then we remove the electrode, tap the remaining body of the glowplug and extract it

    • @Hubitools
      @Hubitools  5 лет назад

      In the process of drilling the locked glow plug, the thread in the head probably got damaged. No worries, you can simply put an insert that you can find in any automotive parts store.

    • @michaelfreeman7381
      @michaelfreeman7381 5 лет назад +1

      @@Hubitools any idea what size that should be? A bit confused - if I want it to take a M10x1.0 glow plug, then shouldn't the insert be bigger than that with the insert diameter 1.0, but maybe the outside diameter 1.25?

    • @Hubitools
      @Hubitools  5 лет назад +1

      @@michaelfreeman7381 For a m10x1 internal insert you will need a m12x1 outside diameter/thread.

    It says "enables glow plugs broken in the top of the CYLINDER HEAD to be easily removed". But it don`t say what to do "when the glow plug is broken AT THE TOP of the glow plug itself, AND the threading is well stuck in the cylinder head".

    • @Hubitools
      @Hubitools  2 года назад

      Hello, It is the same. Just different way to explain where it broke. Look closely at the video, this kit aims to pull the glowplugs that broke above the threaded part. So at the top of the glowplug if you prefer.
