I can definitely understand Asbel’s reason for leaving. He felt weak, and couldn’t be the leader he wanted to be. He also was so upset with his family that he was kept out of the loop as to what happened. He felt like he was left out and no one cared about him, not even his father. Although Cheria still cared about him, he thought he was helpless to everyone. Years later he has the strength he wanted, but to find out his father was killed in battle, and he never got the chance to understand his father later in life, was a big blow to him. The winds of time are always cruel, we long to live in the past, but we have to look onward to the future to build it for the better.

It's because some of the plot were cheesy. I, for myself, don't mind. As a writer who writes stories, playing this game is like refreshing for me. After playing Star Ocean and Tales of Abyss and other JRPG's, I find the story of this game a bit of cheesy and a bit interesting (due to the political aspect of the game). I grew fond of several, if not, all of the characters of the game (heck, I even cried on Kurt) so I guess it's just about preference.

You should check out abyss and symphonia. Tales doesn't make bad games. They all have their own themes and lessons. This is what makes them so much better than the overrated final fantasy games (which I also love btw).

The characters contradict themselves constantly with no one pointing it out or even caring. And Asbel's stupidity is on another LEVEL of JRPG main characters.
He's so self-righteous, defensive, bitter, and full of spite, yet such a painfully endearing character, and it's evident in pretty much every word that escapes his mouth. The voice actor did such a fantastic job, and Hubert is just plain silly.

BuffMaister 15 minutes is only the limit for channels that don't have phone verification or channels that have strikes. On the google support page it says 11 hours and 128 GB now. So I was surprised to see more than 11. Though after doing more research apparently there are some videos in the hundreds of hours that are uploaded so no idea how they managed that one.
im a massive tales fan but honestly sometimes the anime cliches in the games put me off. Now that im older i wish they would deal with more mature themes and have older main characters

For instance, the games have been rated 16+ instead of 12+ as it used to be until recently. They are trying to carry their franchise among that group. Nonetheless, the cliches will always remain because that is what makes a JRPG.
Vesperia boasts the oldest lead character of the series and is pretty mature. If you haven't played that one yet you should. Just keep in mind that their demographic is teenagers. I'm almost 30 and I've been playing them since I was in my mid to late teens. Cliched or no, they're still enjoyable to le.

Nah, he is not a bad person, totally, and that comes from me, person who knew him for collective of 5 days, I know best! Pascal being conveniently great at every piece of technology she never even heard of is one thing, but the way they just shrug of colosal things is something else. Seriously Asbel is so fucking dumb its unreal :D
