    Did you get the “diamond” checked? I’m thinking it was a piece of glass placed inside of the pearl by a pearl farmer because you found it online. Farmers usually place glass inside the pearl to get the pearls to begin it’s natural process of defense. The objects gets covered in protein, glue, and argonite over time and layers to create a pearl. I’m dying to know whether it is glass that has been layered and formed a crystal coating or indeed a raw diamond!?

    It's a higher chance of it being quartz because diamonds grow in chunky shapes and quartz grows in hexagonal shape and quarts is more common to find than diamond because diamond is compressed heat from years ago and that can be possible in not that watery areas deep underground so it's almost impossible to find that there unless that clam was found deep in the twilight or midnight zone a diamond formed in a cave system and got caught my flowing water into the clam while it's open still that's nearly impossible because it's most likely to be gold because heat vents found in caves. Underwater gold forms there because gold can't rust because it doesn't contain Fe (iron) thus making it impossible to rust. This is just some sciency bull poop I thought of when seeing this vid

      These are cultured pearls. Oyster farmers physically insert an irritant, such as a shell bead nucleus, inside the soft tissue of the oyster. From there, the layers of nacre are formed naturally, just like with natural pearls. I guess you could say cultured pearls are oyster (kidney) stones.... ouch 🤕

      Often times in oysters like these there are grains of sand placed into the pearl in order for the oyster to create the pearls, anything could have been placed in the oyster at this time. Also salt crystals do have a distinct formation and no matter how much cleaning done to them, they could not achieve the same clarity if the item found. Though it is highly unlikely that it is a diamond, it could easily be quarts or cubic zirconia.

    • @lidynasty4722
      @lidynasty4722 3 года назад +4

      No diamonds are not the toughest mineral but the hardest. Only diamonds can scratch diamonds but diamonds are very fragile and 1 blow with a hammer will break the diamond

    • @iloveveganism6248
      @iloveveganism6248 3 года назад +1

      @@lidynasty4722 You're kinda right on the second part. Diamonds are a bit fragile, but you know that diamonds are crystalline formation of carbon created in high-pressure and high-heat areas like volcanos and magma chambers. There are two possibilities of a diamond inside an oyster happening: Either it's implanted or the oyster was caught from sea without anyone knowing about the crystal inside. On the hardness scale, the diamond has a scale of 10 which is the highest. Plus only high heat and precision lasers or another diamond can scratch or cut a diamond.

    You cannot get a diamond out of an oyster. It is an Achroite Tourmaline which looks very much like a diamond but it isn't.

      it wasn't a real diamond. Diamonds are formed in the Earth's crust, made by heat and pressure. It can't form in a clam.

    • @shawnsisler3743
      @shawnsisler3743 7 лет назад +18

      Exactly, from compressed carbon no less...lol People will buy into anything. If there was a diamond in an oyster it would be because it washed into it while it was open and the oyster didn't have time to coat it in calcium like it does sand crystals to make pearls.. Read a book, watch educational programming something people. jeez.

      You're right, there is no carbon in an oyster and there's not enough pressure in one either.
