Are you ready for an "Um, actually..."? Because, um, actually, 4K technically isn't a resolution, but a number of lines. Those lines don't have to be the same length. That's why you can have 4K ultra wides even though the monitor is wider than a typical monitor that would be called 4K. Width isn't being factored in. The real issue is that they're still 2 separate monitors, even if they can act as one. They can never equal 8K.

it's more useful for dev or someone who works with a lof of code and using many Terminals at once on the go. If I recall correctly I do need a portable monitor working during travelling.
I really think this would be nearly perfect if it had two 3:2 displays that opened into one 4:3 display. It would make for a much more normal aspect ratio when folded open as a single screen! I'm sure a run-through with Samsung Dex is incoming shortly?

Not even that, it is still only 3840 on one axis and 4320 on the other. It really a 4K monitor with little over a 1:1 aspect ratio. 8K is 7680x4320 - 16:9
I just saw where metro by tmobile has the samsung galaxy s23 fe for $100-$50 depending on if its a new line or ur porting ur number. It has the snapdragon gen 1 chip its a great deal. Id love to see u do a video on it love ur content keep those videos coming amd ill keep watching thanks.

I have a very specific question for this monitor. with the 1 monitor mode, in MAME, if you set the display setting to Cocktail Cabinet mode would it split the screen at the hinge location? if so this would amazing for a smaller cocktail cabinet arcade build.

Would be cool if it came with two adjustable stands, and the monitors were attached together with strong magnets. That way, you could also separate them for the traditional side by side form factor.

Good example is his relation with Minisforum; which could be considered a “conflict of interest” since he is also part of their team as a judge for their “logo contest” on their upcoming products, which is in stark contrast to the two other judges with “design” backgrounds. Miniforums words “RUclips star with millions of followers.” With that being said, it is worth tuning in since these products don’t hit the newsfeeds as quickly, if at all. I don’t have a problem, but a “disclaimer” should identify at the beginning of the video (this is also why he ignored the true resolution of 2 4K monitors as 3840x4320, or 4320x3840, giving it almost a square aspect ratio).

2 4k monitors don't make an 8k, it takes 4 4k monitors to make an 8k, just like it took 4 720p monitor to make an 1440p monitor or 4 1080p monitor to make a 4k monitor. or am i missing something in the marketing slides?
The 4K version is only 60Hz peeps and it's a touchscreen. So really only good for office work and not so much for gaming. At this size I rather get the duo 2.5K screens at 144Hz instead if you want to game on it.
@@tams805 nope just like phones. Once you go 90Hz or 120Hz+ you can't go back. Higher fps means less latency as well. 60fps is still nice but 120fps is the standard for me. I went back to PC cause of this as consoles didn't have enough titles with them due to the lack of power.
Hi ETA Prime, I recent read on their kickstarter that dual monitor mode can bring the refresh rate down to 60hz for each monitor. When they talk about single monitor, are they referring to 1 cable powering both monitors, or just the fact that if both monitors are being utilized in any config, it will downgrade to 60hz?
Can you set this up as the ultimate Nintendo 3Ds emulation dual screen? Game on top and the other half at the bottom? Unless that is the limitation of the emulator and it won't let you?

Over-priced, underwhelming. Do you know how much does it cost to buy 2x 4K IPS panel these day? At this price, dual 3200x2400 OLED panels with 120Hz refresh rate cost around the same with considerable profit margin.

Literally a few years ago, most gamers were happy with 60Hz. And really, you don't need higher unless you are professionally playing a twitch shooter.
