This week we went out and put the Gauss MD metal detector up against the Minelab Equinox 600 and wow i found my first ever gold coin with the Gauss, Both these metal detectors are very capable and i really am loving the Gauss MD from Mars

It is a special moment to find your very first gold coin, to detect it and bring it to the surface, nothing quite so satisfying. A hugely addictive feeling. One day you might catch up with me and my 4 beautiful gold coins found by my own 2 hands 🔥🔥🔥🔥

Well done finding that sovereign!! Especially running the gauss at 50% power!! L1 & H1 are both 50% less power sent to the coil.
L2 & H2 are 25% less power to the coil.
So I’d go back over the same field on L3 or H3 100% power goes to the coil.
We was very lucky I think because we did try and up the power/sensitivity but the ground was too mineralised for it, it was almost like the same time we went on wet sand with it hahaha. I really enjoy the machine but my go to is my equinox 800. I think your right though it might be worth while now that I've more experience with it that I might have more of a chance to control the beast

Well done Mike, had my first gold coin this year, a George 2nd guinea 1759, almost extremely fine, just one little mark beneath the bust. Also had a gold ring, so having a great year. Keep swinging Shaun and Mike :) :) :)

Hi Lads, what a brilliant hunt, and well done Mike on joining the gold coin club..fantastic find mate, you was scared to dig it out, when I got my gold coin, I couldn't bloody find it, one of the phantom items..good job I didn't walk away...LOL you will keep looking at it every 5 minutes, thats what I did😃
By the way, the folded coin, is probably a good luck coin, similar to the love token, but was given to someone so their pockets would never be empty of money, like what women used to do when they gave someone a new purse, they would put a silver coin in it for the same reason.. but I don't blame you if you not interested after the gold coin...LOL

If you are making a video with two different detectors why don't you compare signals with the detectors before you dig it? Also increasing height above the ground until signal is lost.

How do you like that gauss md? It has not made it to the states in the USA yet I really want to know if that's a machine worth buying I have done quite a bit of research but still don't know if I want to put the money out on one yet. And great video you guys that gold coin was excellent. Happy hunting
I'm loving the Gauss, even more now it found me my little gold lol. I guess its like everything, the more time you spend with a machine the better it becomes. The build quality is amazing but if I had to choose then it would be my trusted nox 800 :-) thanks for watching

In my opinion it's probably about the same sort of depths as the equinox. I think I prefer the equinox because of its ease to use :-)
