I have an '89 Turbo r . I bought it 5+ years ago . We put it up for sale to buy a '75 Rolls Royce Shadow . We found our price was too low and decided to keep it because it does exude class . The Rolls is going in for a paint colour change next year.
I have a '96 Turbo R and love to watch these old videos waxing lyrical about these wonderful cars. I do have to take the narrator to task on one point though, although you could conceivably fit five people in one of these the person in the middle of the rear will feel pretty hard done by. They're really designed for four adults, as you can see at 7:12
How times have changed. There is no way Bentley would market its vehicles with such 'blue-blooded' pomposity today. Bentley's present-day clientele is very different from the pre-VW era.
Thanks for posting this. Video dates from 1990 as it mentions automatic ride control which was 1st available with 30000 series in 1990. Cars in the early part of the video are 1989 model year. "The quintessential power trip " was the motto of the day .I've had 3 & love my 89 Turbo RL.
I am on my tenth Turbo R - 1997 to be exact that I am bringing back to life. 385 Horsepower 569 ft. Lbs of torque It’s the sensation of a 75X or 78X going down the runway at an airfield. There is always power, never a lack there of. 99.9% of the haters out there know absolutely nothing about this machine.
@@vincemarshall8550 I've got a 1996 one. The bodies are made of steel so do rust. I had to get the wheel arches done on mine, it's not uncommon for them to go in that area. If you want to see more of my car search RUclips for JayEmm - he reviewed my car in April this year.
@@lebojay I don't know, I've only had the Turbo R.. The Turbo R was the fastest ever Bentley at the time and has the Roadholding pack, which is what the R means.. now, 37 years later, I don't suppose it matters if you have an Eight or a Turbo R or a Mulsanne, they are all classic Bentleys, I suppose condition is what matters now
@@ChicagoItalianI’ve only driven the Turbo R. 1986 model.. it’s fast if you want it to be. I think someone said 320bhp..it handles well for a big old car.. it’s at the garage at the moment for failing MOT on Rear Brakes and that stupid foot operated parking brake but I should have her back soon with a Years MOT
Perfect machines

Just find the healthiest one you can afford.
@@vincemarshall8550i think harrys garage on RUclips points out a few of the common rust spots.
I've got one. I take her to car meets and make RUclips videos 😂
Is the Turbo worth it over the Eight?

@@lebojayjust don’t drive the Turbo R first before the “8” and you’ll be fine.

Ese auto necesita un piloto no un chofer !!!...
What??
@@muhyadindahir3188Google translate is rubbish. He said it that car needs a pilot not a chauffeur.
