I had a part time labouring job at Hudson & Middletons, round the corner from Gladstone. One of my tasks was to empty the old sagger makers shop & put all the stuff in a skip. Even though I was only 15, I thought it was very sad to see it go. This was about 1972, only thing that survived was a bone handled marl cutter, that I kept as a keepsake.
