Why the heck would they want to resign Casey DeSmith? So Silovs can take his job again? He's a good backup and he should sign somewhere he'll actually get to play 20-30 games.
silovs apparently wants to test the market... RFA, so he's open for an offer sheet. He'll garner interest, if the offer sheet is too much, The Canucks need a backup.

Zadorov at $5m for 6 years OR $6m for 5 years is a waay better deal than Myers at $6m for 5 years. Buckle up Harm and Quads because here it comes and you are gonna' LOVE it when it happens even though it means no $9m for Crosby's golf caddie for you.

Good signing. Benning was paying Beagle and Roussel 4m+ years ago. This is a sweet deal compared to those signings!! especially considering the chemistry with Garland.

I think they should sign myers, zadorov, and silovs. Forget guentzel, and try for reinhart (might be able to get him cheaper than guentzel
tough to guess what Reinhart will do without Barkov. Huberdeau did nothing after leaving. Tkachuck and Reinhart have flourished on the PP with Barkov. Reinhart may just be the 60 point guy without Barkov.

They gotta let zadarov go if it means not getting a good winger for Petey. We aren’t gonna do better next playoffs without Petey having a real second line to centre.

@@tiki1750 Ya I think we should look at him as a bonus, but either way we need to add top-6 winger in free agency or trade. I'm confident Alvin & Rutherford know what they're doing. We still have quite a bit of cap space also.

I'd say with Joshua signed up, along with guys like Blueger, Tocchett's got options.
With Guentzel or equivilant:
1- Guentzel-Miller-Boesser
2- Joshua-Pettersson-Garland
3- Hoglander-Blueger-Suter
4- Di Giuseppi-Aman-Podkolzen
If they can't get a tip tier shooter/playmaker for LW1 then they can try this to start with:
1- Hoglander-Miller-Boesser
2- Joshua-Pettersson-Garland
3- Suter-Blueger-Podkolzen
4- Di Giuseppi-Aman-Karlsson
Garland and Joshua with Petey? Why bother getting a Guentzel then?
@@happyjaks Would be nice to have someone top 6 worthy with Miller and Boeser so Suter can go back to his 3rd line duties where he does better. But if no deal is forthcoming or we'd have to dismantle too much of our winning chemistry to manage it, then I'd say give our own, homegrown 24 goal scorer a chance to play on the top line, and on his natural wing, with a full line of capable scorers. Hoglander's not the greatest at sniping shots at range, but man, those soft hands in close and on the rush!
Get big Z done 4 years is to long hes had 1 good season can he repeat will see
even if he doesnt produce big points the possibility of him being able to, and him just being a force on the ice. canucks gotta re sign him
He's not signed for the points, he's signed for the physical presence and own zone checking. All points he gets are bonus points.
