Thank you all so much for your support! It's truly overwhelming. Here is the link to the Garmin Mini inReach 2 on my amazon store: amzn.to/4eCGMJY I'm not affiliated with Garmin but that is an affiliate link to my amazon store so if you purchase through that link then I will receive a small commission which helps support the channel so I can keep making content! I have other satellite communicators linked in the video description. Thanks!
I've got to admit, after leaving my inreach in my car a bit too long and probably forgetting to turn it off the trip before so it was completely flat, I was a bit triggered by the title so was ready to come on here to say it is madness to have that instead of a PLB with a 5 year battery life. But you managed to have a story where your wife was able to contact you about the emergency that you didn't know about yet. Damn, back to carrying both, and paying the sodding Garmin subscription which is the other disadvantage lol
Sorry to trigger you with the title 😂 unfortunately youtube is all about trying to get people to click on your videos lol. It'll be interesting to see how garmin changes over the next few years when everyone can access the iridium network from their phones! I've always gone out without a communicator so to have this experience the first time I carried one was wild!
@TregsTravels the new phones will be interesting for sure... but a bit worrying that many people will rely solely on a device that is not robust, but what it might mean is that plbs become fashionable again... will have to see!

Excellent
Thank you! Cheers!
No fun getting a 911 call! So grateful we could get in touch.
Not fun at all! I'm glad everything worked out perfectly
What a experience man, this whole episode is so nicely put together!
Thank you! That seriously means so much! So much time goes into filming and editing so it's awesome when someone recognizes that 👊
Good info, thxs.
No problem!
Love your video. Great content and important topic. As a husband and father, it is always important to be able to check in. You never know.
Thank you! Couldn't agree more...we're responsible for a lot more than ourselves now and owe it to our families to be safe and responsible 🙏🏻
Crazy experience! I will never travel with all my flies in my vehicle again. That’s the only thing I wouldn’t have been able to replace.
That would have been heartbreaking 💔
