Chakrabarti ji,I am to request to you to give full details with videos about mijrab which is used in playing sarod.
For every new beginner after purchasing sarod,mijrab is a burning problem.Shape ,points and side of mijrab are most important side of it. One has to produce various bols and without knowledge of it,one can not play it nicely.
Therefore I am to request you to help the beginners.
Your every video is a jewel in the crown of music.

Sir, I am interested in learning sarod but I am not sure how to go about if to purchase a new sarod or acquiring a used instrument, since sarod is an expensive instrument to start with.
It would be extremely helpful if you could make a video for beginners about the process of getting their first instrument and some tips regarding it.

The mijrab of Rampur is of pan shape means it resembles with BANGLA KAPOORI PAN which we are chewing after we take our meals.It differs with the same which we are using in our Seniya maihar gharana.
It is therefore I am requesting to guide the beginners. It will your highest obligation if you kindly give information on mijrab. Again paying thanks. Wishing all the best.
The plectrum which we use for Sarod is called Jaba. Mijrab is used for Sitar.

Sir there is many different gharana in sarod . I am confused which gharana should i learn... because i don't know what is the difference between in all gharanas and their playing style .. please help me ... Please Reply 🙏🏻 Which gharana is Best?
There are only 3 gharanas in Sarod, all of them are good, try to find a good Guru that will help you the most.
