You have a beautiful XT there …makes me long for mine. I still have my XV920RH since 1981 (two 500’s/one crankcase) It’s been all over North America and still pulls over 100 miles an hour with ease 😎
@@kamikrazywarboy2008 The scramblers came up in the UK of the 60s. A supermoto is a street bike built to look like a dirtbike but for roads. Calling this bike a supermoto is like saying knobbies on a cafe racer make it a dirtbike. .. Blame manufacturers for blurring the lines. You can't have a Scrambler without hard work and effort. You can see the hard work and effort here. This bike can still go anywhere... Scrambler. That is fricking gorgeous, I once had an ex Mark Hucklbridge kx 250, I completely rebuilt it polished and painted everything when it was finished it looked like a bike Eddie Kidd would of owned
yep, I had one of these back in the day. They are a bitch to start. They have a little glass window on the cam cover. You tap the Kickstarter until you see white through that little glass about the size of a pencil eraser. That’s when it’s OK to kick.. you don’t want to stall it in traffic .. I actually had the off-road version, the TT 500, that is the only dirtbike I ever had that I never stalled..
Dude. You didn't have it timed and carbed well. I had a TT500. It would start 1st time EVERY time. I also didn't have a timing mark in a sight glass. All you had to do is ease it around til it got real hard, then kick the living shit out of it!
I think you should have kept a 21" frontwheel, yet it's some really nice work and I guess your XT500 is great to ride with such tyres, suspensions and brakes.
Perhaps an spark plug hot and not cold!,I don't remember if the 500was like the 600 and the twin spark plugs, one cold one hot. But she started normal for an xt500 never the first time
Try kickstarting a CCM 640 Rotax i was one of the only that could, at the factory. Took about 5 mins if cold race bikes didn’t have starter to save weight
50ps ? That's High for a Single Cam Air-cooled 500cc - I think they used to B.S. the Figures back in the day! my KTM 525exc or XR600 I doubt would have that much! 👍
My Yamaha SR500 can be just as awkward starting sometimes but it's worth it.
Exactly
My Dr is the same way looks alot like yours just with a touch of patina
Come on Rice burner you always run for Kik
Had a xt 500 thumper back in the early 80s, sold it for 300 pound, worth 10k upwards, great bike

Now thats a decent scrambler!
@@Perry_dAccardsounds like you don't know the difference... That's a scrambler homie.
@@kamikrazywarboy2008 last time I checked, a supermoto was the exact opposite of scrambler, literally. But if you don't mind, please elaborate.

XT 500 Fahren ist absoluter Kult 😍👍
Love the old thumpers. Always wanted one in high school.
Me too haha
The single cylinder air cooled engines are very easy to work on. Have a Honda Falcon 400.
Nice build dude!
Fuel on carb full.
Choke on 2 good kicks
Choke off ignition on
One good kick and it should go Use choke to find tune until it’s warmed up.
It’s satisfying starting a temperamental engine.
Ive never seen so manh adjustments going all at once in one video
Sounds beautiful
Once in a while I get a first kick start after a rebuild. What a thrill.
Very nice twist on a classic, the gold wheels set it off nicely 👌
That is so nice man ! I think you should trim the front guard down tho I think it would lool way cooler.
Yeah there’s a smaller one on there now. Time for an update video 😆👍
This is a XT ,that,s always pretty
That's a good looking scrambler right there. Ride eternal brother!
Da hätte ich ja immer Bock drauf .... E- Starter for life❤😂🎉

Sweeeeet! I had a TT500 back in the day! It would start first kick every time. Except if you dumped it and flooded it!
Great bikes!!!
Copy of British do you say triumph copying Yamaha
Gosh I love those wheels 😍
Me too 😍
XT500, many a lads dream (including mine) back in the 70’ & early 80’s
I think you should have kept a 21" frontwheel, yet it's some really nice work and I guess your XT500 is great to ride with such tyres, suspensions and brakes.
Lovely sound
I had the XT550 good old bike till a teenager wanted it more than me.

Love the gold wheels 😍

Very nice bike
That's beautiful 😍

I had an SR500 and it was a beast to start if you didn't get it on the first kick.
Beautiful wheels!
Fantastic off road moto enduro you've got there ,now rare as rockin horse poop ! 👍😉
What a nice shop ❤
Thanks!
Sweet sound
I had 2 of them, real rat bikes I paid £175 each for them. They're good bikes and simple tech. One I rode several months in Adelaide.
The sound ❤🤤
Looks awesome, serious question: why kickstart as opposed to button/automatic whatever it’s called ?
A Kickstart there's nothing to go wrong with you don't need to carry a battery your bike will always start.
Great looking bike
I bought a new one in 1978..long time ago.. I was 20 years old how time flys
Starting a big single is an art that can be learned.
Perhaps an spark plug hot and not cold!,I don't remember if the 500was like the 600 and the twin spark plugs, one cold one hot. But she started normal for an xt500 never the first time

Brave guy kicking that it trainers!! Had a 500 nearly throw me over the bars when it kicked back on me😅
Nice 😎👍 what are them forks on it? 🤔

Me mate had an xt 250 field bike when we were about 14 years old best days of our lives off road on a bike like like that..

I had one, it's basic bike but it brings you everywhere
Its my youth dream.👍👍👍👍👍
Great bikes,
I had the TT500 Version of that bike with higher tuned same engine..But it vibrated so much that I sold it and went two stroke instead.
TT is awesome!!
XT 500 ❤ Rambo bike 🏍
No, buddy. Rambo stole a XT250 and they put a silly 2-stroke soundtrack on it for the movie.
Similar look though.
Sick bike
Love the old XT's

Wow , kwaliteits ombouw geweldig
What a beauty ❤
That thing is a beast 😁
That was my dreambike, back in the days: 50PS, 4995,- DM ☝️ / The decal on the right side is missing ...
50ps ? That's High for a Single Cam Air-cooled 500cc - I think they used to B.S. the Figures back in the day! my KTM 525exc or XR600 I doubt would have that much! 👍
Beste Maschine die es gab..........
I have a tt600re supermoto. E start, but same air cooled engine. 😎
Is speedo working? Cant see a cable?
Wondering cause i fitted a crf front end to my xt - 77 and obviously missing the hardware in the hub.
Nope, no speedo here either
I had a 78 Sr 500 single cylinder with a supertrap exhaust. It was a road race bike.
