I'm going to feel super awkward if I already commented on this but I love this cover and video so much. Considering Tom Petty is one of my favorite songwriters, I admit I can be kind of biased about covers, but this was BEAUTIFUL and completely heartfelt and that's why I'm proud of it. I still listen to this cover and watch the video when I'm feeling hopeless, which is to say it fills me with a lot of hope and reminds me in a small way of how much power I have as a human being [to help others and to help make positive changes]. So that matters. Y'all did good, and I just want to say thank you for this song and video. 💓

I think you're missing the point of music all together... Music is meant to move you, speak to you... Doesn't matter how or why, just matters that it does. Any artist will tell you that. That's why we love music so much isnt it? Music allows us as individuals to apply our own meaning. To connect. As you've asked a civil question, my response is as follows:
The how's, why and wherefore of putting together a slideshow aren't really my issue.
I'm not trying too hard to be offended by any means. I'm actually one of the most relaxed people you'd meet. My issue is that the left have adopted special interest groups to the exclusion of the people who they were formed to support in the first place. The very same people that were the bedrock of the Labour movement (in the UK where I am).
The sjw imposition of what you are allowed to say and think is what I'm done with. I just found it disappointing to see them in this video.
That's my issue. Sure everyone has a right to be treated as an equal, but since we've reached the point where a gay man can be as horrible as he likes to me in the workplace and yet I can't say shit in return for fear of being branded as homophobic then something is very wrong. Just my opinion.
It's bad though because some people are supposedly fighting for equal righs, but in some cases it's a fight for superiority. I witnessed a woman not too long ago trying to start a fight with bloke, she wasn't just verbally abusive to him, she was being physically abusive too. She eventually started on his SO and that's pretty much when he snapped, he only shoved her away, she yelled him at him for pushing her because how dare he shove a woman, the very same woman had taken part in a feminest march a few hours before. Treat me the same as a man, but don't hit me because I'm a woman.
I think it's fun that addressed your opinion to KT like she's sitting there waiting for you to comment. Trust me, like us, she doesn't give a shit what you think of her song and vid. Regardless, your comment was minorly readable.
