Which original Premier League stadium was your favourite?
I was really into the Dell as a kid it looked cozy and that stand at the end that tapered off toward the corner flag was great! I hate to say it buy Highbury was pretty good and of course Anfield was probably the best.

White Hart Lane didn't look like that in 92, both the North and South stands hadn't been redeveloped at that point.
Highbury wasn’t also known as Arsenal Stadium, it’s the other way round. Arsenal Stadium was its actual name, Highbury was just its nickname

I second the comment that Highbury was not demolished, at least the 2 main stands weren’t. They were converted in to flats.
OBJECTION: Highbury was NOT demolished! Demolishing a Grade II listed building is highly illegal because you cant alter the exterior of the building.
The east and west stands were converted into flats and the pitch became a memorial garden because so many fans have had their ashes scattered on it

1:21 Arsenal Stadium/Highbury wasn't really demolished as the East and West Stand exteriors are listed so could not be knocked down.
in fact Wimbledon reformed as AFC Wimbledon and now play on a ground on Plough Lane MK are a completely different from the original Wimbledon and there is no link apart from stealing Wimbledons spot in the EFL rarther than earning their place
Liverpool fan here but I always thought Highbury was the most beautiful stadium. So glad I got to watch a game there.

As a kid growing up in the 80s, Goodsion Park always pissed all over Anfield. Yet you only need look at both the development of both stadia in the time period of this video, and obviously on the pitch. We literally stood still as a club. Hopefully we can new owners who can actually run a football club before the stadium move.

I'm pretty sure Swindon Town were in the Premier league for the first season
They went up the season after.
This is about the ones in 1992-93 season. Swindon Town was played in 2nd tier and later promoted to this league at the end of the season.
@vorakitlertackakorn2827 I stand corrected, I thought it was the 92/93 season they were in Premier league, I can remember them being there. My memory was obviously a season out
@@londonowl9010Correct. Swindon got promoted in 1992-93 season after beating Leicester 4-3 in the old division one playoff final.

Villa Park didn’t look the way it does today when the Premier League first started. Holte End, Trinity Road & Doug Ellis stands have all been knocked down & rebuilt since then. Didn’t look the way that you’ve presented it.

@@bencash4198 Cheers. It’s the obvious place to expand and I hope they do something soon as Villa deserve at least 50K capacity these days.
