  • While in Charleston, I was given the opportunity to ride with Battalion Chief 103, which is stationed with Engine 6 on Cannon Street, but we were responding from quarters of Engine 8 on Huger Street. We were the third due chief to a report of a fire on James Island. It turned out to be a false alarm, due to the sewer company doing smoke testing, where smoke is sent through the sewers to see if there are any cracks in the pipes. Apparently, some smoke was seeping up through the sidewalks, and it frightened some people in the area. You can hear the entire explanation after the run was cancelled. Enjoy the view from the front seat. Video was taken with permission. Battalion 103 is a 2016 Ford F-250. If you have any questions about the video, feel free to message me. Comments are welcome.

Awesome Video. Did You Get The Chance To Ride Along With Any Other Units?
