Hello, How to save the workspace in older version? I have 2023 version but my customer has 2022 version. I want to save my workspace in 2022 version so they can open it.
Hello Vladone and thanks for reaching out. I'm so glad to see you checking into the video content and making your measurement device sing using PolyWorks. Yes, the 321 Alignment is the most common and super easy with probed data as well as scanned data. Do you have a workspace you want to send over? I could put a short video together for you if that would be helpful with your data.
Nice video, useful info. One thing, why do I often get 'probe does not Intersect plane' I measure the constraining plane first like it asks then measure the featured hole. Just kinda of frustrating because sometimes it'll pop up sometimes it doesn't
Hey there, Jose! Good to hear from you and I can totally relate to the frustration there. We see that quite often when the intersecting plane has some flatness issues. One thing you can try is to measure an additional constraining plane locally around the feature. Also, If you have a compressed PolyWorks Workspace, send it over and I can take a look and maybe we can do a Zoom call. jeff@diversedimensions.com
Hey Jeff, question, I'm using a leica 403 tracker. I've set my features I want to measure. I've measured and aligned all but when I do my best fit alignment things line up but it'll show my reflector way out in space even though its sitting on top of the measured/ aligned pipe.
We sometimes use a pre-alignment for extraction purposes to get the part close to the CAD model. Especially if the datum has complex geometry. This example is quite simplistic but still a powerful way to align the measured data to the CAD model. Since the drawing doesn't have a datum structure, the alignment options would be open to interpretation by the measurement folks.

The video How To Use Reference Targets from Objects was very helpful
Thanks for sharing this information, it is very helpful, greetings from Mexico.
Greeting to you as well, Abel! Cheers, my friend!

Thanks for reaching out with this one. Unfortunately you can't save in an older version. Do they have the ability to upgrade?
Can the 321 alignment performed on probed data, or is just for scanned data? Thank you

@@josegonzales5913 Hey there, Jose! Good to hear from you! Can you send me your workspace or would you like to do a Zoom or Teams call?
Please tell is it necessary to align after prealignment...if yes..why??
Regards

Olá, consigo algum material traduzido para português?
Sobre qual tópico do PolyWorks você gostaria de aprender mais, meu amigo?
