And FOR GOOD REASON. This song came up in Dune II often, and every time I read the books, this is the stuff that plays in my head. And the first version was written when Klepacki was 18 or so. Amazing.

But there are those poor souls who think Transformers are science-fiction and when if they have even heard of the Dune saga they answer: Isn't that an old sci-fi movie about giant worms? It's a sad, sad day for humanity when people compare Michael Bay's garbage with Dune. The original movie needs a reboot!

Play as Atreides, Harkonnen, and Corrino Subhouses would be: Fremen Remnants of House Ordos (replacing the Spacing Guild, given the events of 'Emperor') Ixians Bene Tlielax (Tlielaxu) Mercenaries (replacing the Sardaukar, since the Sardaukar would be Corrino units) Basically it would be conceived as a direct sequel to "Emperor".
About that, some guy made Dune 3 and Dune 4, a remake of Dune 2, though mechanics are a little uncomfortable than original. I had to max out my number of tanks just to destroy defending troopers, tanks and turrets.
Too bad now-a-days they only focus on mainstream. I would love to see a new dune movie, a new dune game. Hell, in my opinion, dune is better than star wars. MY OPINION.

Their color is red, they are the bad guys of their respective universes, except China. They all (except Nod) rely on raw firepower, heavy armor, and numbers in the way of war. And they're somewhat technologically behind their foes (except Nod, again)

Transformers is pretty great......As Beast wars. Nothing against the movies, but you can't compare them with Dune or Star Wars. I totally agree, but who would focus on Dune, when they could focus on Star wars 7-8-9, or transformers 4-5-6. Mainstream limits the options for new things. Oh and in case anyone is wondering, no I am not a hipster, I would just like to see the forgotten gems brought back to their glorious places.

The basic units on each side were pretty similar, but each had their own special units that gave them some unique flavor. I thought all were fun.
The basic units weren't "similar", they were THE SAME. I'm not saying that's a bad thing but there it is.
