Hi, need your advice if you can. I'm planning to visit in two weeks and the places besides Tbilisi that I want to visit are Mestia, Koruldi lakes, Kazbegi city, Gudauri for (friendship monument, paragliding ), Prometheus caves. I'll get a hotel in Tblisi, but regarding the other places where should I stay (like central point) in one place and then I can visit the other places from it and come back to rest. I'm mostly into hiking, and I think all thses places are not far from each other
Such an epic place! @Gooner B it sounds like you’ll be best to do day trips from Mestia for hikes and Koruldi Lakes then stay in Kazbegi or do a day trip from Tbilisi depending on how much time you have!
@@LozsLeisure thank you for reply, I'm planning a nine days trip, two days in Tbilisi at the end. The rest between kazbegi and mestia. Starting with train from Tbilisi to mestia. Just not sure about how many days is enough to do the top things in each region which relates to booking hotels /guest house and traveling distance in between. Is two nights in mestia (two hiking days) is enough? Since one is going to be eight hours of hiking. Then one day is gone on the train (both ways). Then four days in kazbegi.
I honestly loved Mestia so could have spent even longer there, I think I preferred the mountain ranges there to Kazbegi. But if you’re planning on climbing Kazbeg then you’ll need the time!

One of the best if not the best videos about Georgia that I’ve seen, and I’ve watched a lot of them. I can speak of the wonderfulness of the Georgian people. When I lived in Moscow in the early 90s working as a diplomat at the embassy, I made a Georgian friend, Sergey, who elevated my experience of Russia beyond what I could have imagined due to his incredible generosity. There were a couple of other Georgians whom I’d met at that time, and they were likewise extremely friendly and generous.
Such a lovely comment, Lloyd - thank you so much. It really means a lot reading something like this. I'm glad you had such a good experience with Georgians too, and it sounds like you've lived a very interesting life!!

Great Video! Georgia doesn't claim to be the oldest wine producer in the world, Georgia claims to have earliest record of wine making in the world. It is a claim recognised by everyone, because it is not so much a claim as it is archaeological, peer-reviewed and Bordeux World Wine Festival exhibited and thereby confirmed data. Civilisations all across the neighbouring fertile crescent and far away China are competing to dethrone Georgia as future data is excavated, but at the moment Georgia is in a very comfortable lead.

Hi Loz, Yes a couple more (s 15-20 esc ad, followed by another longer ad) would not be unreasonable -= based on what I've seen most vloggers do. A longer ad at the end after you sign off will be okay, too. In my case, I'd use the time while the latter ad is running (esp. if the ad is not interesting enough) to scan the comments section. Good luck.

What we do not agree here is the prices... I as a Georgia must write this comment. I feel myself obliged to do so! You say it is cheap, but ask Georgias what they think. In Georgia we have ridiculous salaries, I'd say, legal slavery and the Gov does not do anything about it. Many people are obliged to work for 250 GEL otherwise they will starve. For 250 GEL which is not even 100$, you can probably buy monthly lowest budget food. Rental in Tbilisi is in USD currency which is ridiculous for such poor country. Flats range between 250$ or 350$. I see no point of having it in USD currency but well... There are thousands of graduates every year from the Universities and 90% of them can not find a job which will help them to pay for rent in Tbilisi and plus, just eat (I am not including, travel cost to Europe or shopping clothings and etc.). Consequently, in dating apps, the first question what dates ask each other is "do you have place?". This is super Cliche in Tbilisi because majority of young people live with their parents due to very low salaries. They can not afford rental to move separately from their parents. I live in Europe now, and I smile from far how our government cheats western institutions by convincing them in insane lie, which is average salary of 1000 GEL. I do not even understand how it is possible to believe in that. As much as Georgia does not produce goods, they import everything. As much as we import we buy things in USD and now prices are going to extremely increase because 1$ into GEL is 3.45 according to today's rate. The more GEL inflates the more prices will increase for Georgians and I am extremely sad for my people. Although, I agree with the rest, an amazing cuisine, beautiful hospitality and landscapes but life quality is extremely poor for average people! If you see opposite in most cases it is "Façade", many people despite their low quality life could play to look happy.

Just came back from a 3 week trip around Georgia, best 3 weeks of my life easily it was amazing

I was watching the entire Georgia series when this video popped up. ❤️
No way!! Perfect timing!

Ahh you're right, and it's recognised as UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage too I believe?? I'm glad we got to learn a little and sample a lot 🤪

Ah that sounds delicious! I will have to make sure to try it next time... Your English is really great and I appreciate you watching the videos so much. Please feel free to share them with people you think would like them!

Oh my gosh! I didn’t know you have vlogs for Georgia. Someone at work was talking about the country so I searched RUclips. And my friends from Madeira were guiding me through Tbilisi! Nice to run into you again! Great video, another place I have to visit!! Travel safe, Mark
Ahhhh great to see you over here on the one of the Georgia videos, Mark! Honestly such a gorgeous country and I don't doubt that tourism is really going to pick up in the next few years. Highly recommend it as a truly awesome destination to visit 🤩 you'll have to let me know if you get the chance to see any of the other videos I put together from there! Hope you're doing well 😁
