Looks like you could mount stuff on the wingtips... if that is actual missiles or just some mock ones with lasers/range things for simulation I don't know. But I guess this is big step-up from T-38. With fully digital cockpit and flyby wire I bet you could simulate lots of stuff.
T 50 golden eagle also uses the ge f404 engine and was already made by our allies in South Korea with an attack capability, seems that would gave been cheaper option, or beter still all the decomissoned FA18 D could have been converted to trainers . Would gave saved the tax payers a lot of money.
The f-18ds are all worn out and fat to expensive to fly for training. Also the T-7 has modern cockpit to train pilots for modern planes. The golden eagle lost the contract, partially because it had a single tail so couldn’t teach high Alpha for the fifth gens.
@@jeffshriber6120my man the pilots learning to fly these for the military are already well more accomplished than us with our little PPLs lol it costs the military insane amounts to train a new pilot before they even get to sit in one of these. They are FAR beyond using your basic six pack at this point. These are the dudes learning to fly small maneuverable jets before jumping into their f16 or f18 lol if your flying this for the military you already have your PPL including all the IFR stuff multi engine stuff, turbo prop stuff, etc.
@@jeffshriber6120 The logic of advanced trainers is to give pilots flight hours in mission training WITHOUT the insane costs to fly an actual combat aircraft. The "light fighter" variants defy this purpose, because they are inevitably more expensive. So "advanced" air forces, with a good fleet of actual first line fighters, tend to use dedicated advanced trainers, while "less rich" countries, with smaller air forces, tend to use light-fighter/trainers to have more things that can actually fight.

This little trainer will be less expensive to fly, replace multiple current trainers, and can be sold to other countries as modern equivalents to the F-5, where those countries can't afford, or just don't need, an aircraft like the F-35. This could also upgrade coastguard and DEA type platforms.
It doesn't need to compete. It did compete and won the contract. I think the engine is the same one used in the Super Hornet, which is an economic benefit.

もう少し待ってアエラリス社のモジュラーエアクラフトを導入した方がいいかもしれませんね。
中等練習機にも高等練習機にも軽攻撃機にも無人機にもなる機体ですが、英国製なのでF3戦闘機との親和性が高くなるかもですね。エンジンは単発でも双発でも組み替えられるみたいです。
先日新明和工業との提携が決まり、共同開発もあり得るかもですね。

増槽に関してT‐7は空中給油できるから良いとしても、ハードポイントが無いと大気集塵したり的牽いたり、日本得意の色々できるという能力がなくなるしなぁ。
そのへんはドローンにお任せするのかな。
F-35に移行を想定した訓練ができるから、採用される可能性はあるかもね。
ハードポイントに関しては、軽攻撃機に転用することも視野に入れてるやしいから、多分無いってことは無いと思うよ。

個人的にはカッコいいから是非ともT-4後継機として推したいけれど、空自のT-4もT-7レベルのアビオに入れ替えるとかする気は無いんかな?T-4も30年以上前の水準では勿体ない😮

酷使される前提の練習機では機体の優秀なカタログスペックよりも、ランニングコストや整備の簡易性と信頼性が重要視されます。
永らくT-38を超える練習機が現れなかったのはそのためです。
T-7は次世代機の操縦技術の練習だけでなく、データリンクを使用した「戦術の訓練」も出来ると期待されていますね。
コストより性能を重要視するようになって時代が代わったと実感すると共に、T-38には「永い間 お勤めご苦労様でした。」と思います。

T-1、T-3、T-6は実機があります。T-2は新しい番号制度ができたときに旧番号制度でT-2とナンバリングされたバックアイという機体がまだ現役だったので欠番です。4と5は、テキサンIIという機体にどうしてもT-6という番号を振りたかったので欠番にされました。米軍にとってテキサンと名づけられた機体にT-6以外の番号をつけるなんて無粋なことは出来なかったんでしょう。
