My God, I can't believe it yet! It worked for me!!! I was totally desperate and I came across your video by chance, I send you a big hug from Spain. and I thank you again and thank you.
Xbox One and newer uses 802.11n wifi drivers and many routers were updated to block connection to devices that uses 802.11n wifi drivers unless you are using a WPA2 encryption. Most devices use 802.11b or 802.11g wifi drivers, including the older Xbox 360, which will still connect using WEP encryption. If you are currently using WEP encryption you will need to change it to WPA2 encryption and I would reccomend only WPA2, not mixed WPA/WPA2 if you used mixed WPA/WPA2 you may have other devices that will not connect like my PlayStation 4 will not connect when set to mixed WPA/WPA2 but will if only WPA2
Thanks so much! Please fix the title of your video so more people can find this incredibly useful video. Your title says "CONNOT" instead of "connect" and "DCHP" instead of "DHCP" . I'm using a cable directly from the wall to a splitter. The coax cable goes to a Verizon Actiontec network extender. Then there's both an ethernet cable out to the xbox and an ethernet cable to the TV. The xbox then has an hdmi cable in to the tv. I had to first type in the MAC address of the Verizon network extender into the xbox menu for mac address above, so that the coax light would light up on the network extender box. But then I was getting the errors you described in the video. I followed the steps you described, cleared the MAC address, restarted the XBOX, and voilá, just as you said, it worked!
@@ashk9105 never buy an xbox, get playstation. i’ve only ever had problems with xbox, never had an issue with playstation in my 15+ years owning a playstation
THIS IS HOW I FIXED MINE!! ( This vid unfortunately didn't work ) //⚠️⚠️DO NOT DO THIS IF YOU DONT HAVE ANOTHER WIFI TO TEMPORALLY CONNECT TO ⚠️⚠️ 1 Head to your console settings. 2 reset your console (Keep my games and apps) (I did continue without connecting) 3 you will be set to the menus and settings as if you first got your Xbox again 4 connect to some other network for the time being. 5. Log back into your Xbox account. Set it up again. 6. When you log back into your home, it should already connect to your saved wifi, as a default
if i had a xbox i would try it, idea for u though , video on micro sd card not showing up and how to fix. ive tried everything and vids on youtube not worked. might be worth a punt
