Nice, but soldering wires means not rub some tin on with a hot solder iron.......heat the both materials with the solder iron and then put some tin on and let it flow.....use tin with flux added.....just a tip...

In America, we think of a cafe as something like a Starbucks or Panera. A quiet, low-key coffee shop type atmosphere. In the UK in this particular context, a "cafe" was a truck stop/diner. Bacon, eggs, toast, tea (Brits LOVE their tea) and hash would be slung. A ubiquitous jukebox present where that vile Rock n Roll would be blaring away. A rougher, blue collar ambience would be what you'd experience.
Oh, and hate that phrase "before we get started." JUST GET STARTED, DAMMIT!

So the taillights just sit under the seat, getting covered in road grime? Maybe I'm nit-picking, but, if you're going to cut the frame, weld up a loop and mount a small mudguard..

For anyone watching this in 2023, know there are better ways to splice wires. Tip 1: Don't use the crimp-on junk they sell at Home Depot or the auto parts store, and don't do it the way the guy in the video did. Take five minutes to learn how to solder properly, or use the new solderless splices that let you easily take things apart later if you need to swap something out. Use a proper wire stripper. Tip 2: Take the fuel tank off, wrap it in something soft, and put it in a box out of the way. Gives more room to work and one less thing to drop a wrench on. Ditto the front fender. Tip 3: Don't hide your brake light, turn signals or license plate- being "too cool for school" will get you fined or killed- these are safety items. Every driver who ran over a biker says the same thing: "I didn't see him." Tip 4: Cutting your frame for ANY reason will not increase the value of the bike; find a seat that works with the stock frame. Or make one. My brother made his own custom cafe seats for less than $20-worth of fibreglass for the custom base (drape Saran Wrap over your bike's frame to protect it while laying up the fibreglass), foam from a dead seat, and marine vinyl. If you know anyone who can sew, cut the seat cover in two pieces (e.g., top/side) and have them run piping around the joint. The cover will follow tight contours better and look professional. Tip 5: Drop the front end an inch or so in the triple trees. It's a free mod to level out the bike and give it a better stance. Tip 6: Clip-ons (with or without risers depending on your arm length and spine durability) will work better than a flat bar. Infinitely adjustable to avoid the dread tank slapper/hand crusher. Tip 7 (more advanced): As an option to #5 and #6, find a complete, used sport bike fork and wheel assembly with brakes and controls. These can be found cheaply, and will provide far superior adjustable front suspension, better twin disk braking, and a 17" tire instead of the Harley's stock 19". Tip 8: Buy used stuff wherever you can. Harley guys are always swapping exhausts and other performance bits and you'll pay a fraction of new. Tip 9: If mounting a single-wall exhaust, wrap it with some quality exhaust wrap- it improves performance and your skin will thank you later.

Thanks for the vid. Google must know something because I have the front end parts at home waiting to get installed. The only thing is that I currently have drag bars and I'm gonna try clip-ons. Hoping I can tolerate the riding position... I bought integral bar end mirrors but I'm worried they'll hang out too far and will be blocked by my wrist. Like your tip on the turns & mirror but I didn't catch the name of the mirrors! Who's were they?

Be warned this setup does not give you full range of motion on most sportsters! Like other people have noted here, 1" risers with the zero drag bar will cause the controls to hit the gas tank. Bought the exact same parts, and it seems people here and Reddit are all having the same issue.
