Junk silver is a rip off compared to bullion for the content of actual silver versus price. I bought some small quantities only on the off chance we have to go back on the barter system in a SHTF scenario. The shops are currently charging 28x face value on the smalls, and $40 for the morgan and peace dollars. The continental silver dollar only has .7734 of a troy ounce of silver or a melt value of $19.39 at today's spot price. Melt price is what the shops will usually pay back, but times are crazy right now and pricing changes daily.
your missing the point....the supply of constitutional will never increase....as they arent making any more ever, can you say the same about generic rounds?,,.also morgan and peace dollars have numismatic value.....not everything is simply about melt value
40 percent still close to spot at my lcs, also premiums on world forign silver still about the samee....so you can still get junk at a resonable proce if you switch it up a bit
