Georgia defensive coordinator didn’t get enough credit, the play call was excellent. Stunts, Twist and LB blitzes coming from everywhere.
That’s mostly Kirby smart he’s a defensive genius. He sucks with offenses though especially when over half the starters are injured

That was anything but a passive defensive performance also I understand he calls the plays. But Kirby draws these defensive plays up. He also has a big role in calling the defensive plays. If you think Kirby is just letting him do whatever he wants you’re wrong.
I liked how they played too. We need some southerners to come up to Oregon and play ball!

How many times have the Big 10 won a Natty since they implemented the playoff system? And how many Natty has the SEC won since they implemented the playoff system? The first Natty of the playoff system was won by Florida, a 2-loss SEC Team vs a number 1 ranked Ohio State team that had been blowing out all their opponents all season long. Keep in mind that JT Daniels never really got much time in the pocket. Nobody had that good of a defensive line like that. I think the offense will look a lot better these next few weeks.
Ga has offensive juggernauts who are all injured, and Arik Gilbert, who's having personal issues. When they're fully healthy, we'll see the offense shine. With a healthy offense, they would've beaten Clemson by three touchdowns tonight.
Very true, however this game was of course played in the trenches between top 5 defenses
Going into this game I said it was going to be a battle of the trenches and that’s how it went down. Georgia’s O line matched well with Clemson’s D line. However I can’t say the same vice versa. I knew there were question for Clemsons O line but that was horrendous. This Georgia D is without a doubt the best in college football and this match looked like an old school football game with strong defenses all around.
I think Iowa’s D will turn out to be the best in the league.

@@michaelwhite3296 that would be Jordan Davis and he is a beast. Standing at 6’6” 340 lbs and he’s a senior. I’d say by the end of the season he should be a first round draft pick. He’s just too good and mobile for someone of his size to pass up on. I think he would do well in Dallas but it all depends on where they fall in terms of draft picks.

Man it’s great to watch college football played in a full stadium. A pick six adds to the fun.
Clemson's Oline needs work for sure, but DJ's pocket awareness is a big issue. I remember Watson was able to improvise plays on the run while escaping pressure and I know that DJ is not Watson. He needs time to grow and thrive, this is his first big match up (last year's Notre Dame was not on this level) and this will set a reminder of what to expect, and I hope he can grow from this game. True winners are those who pick themselves up and get stronger after a failure. I am disappointed but hats off to Georgia's Defense. A very good defensive match up.

I don’t think the issue is DJ not being willing to run, I think the order was DONT run cause you don’t want a 6’5 335 pound Nose Tackle to crush you as you take it and run. Problem is… he still got slammed cause he didn’t have time to even breath. That D-Line is the most disgusting since the 2018 Clemson Power rangers and Clemson’s O-Line is awful.

Our O-line has always been the weak link. This year was supposedly gonna be different with much improvement but word all offseason was how our defense dominated in camp.

Clemson defense did well giving up only 3 points. The offense is another thing. Its been a very long time since the Clemson offense could be called boring, but it was tonight.
Running game hasn't been established. They were predictable. Defense looked good though.
Wow that Georgia defense is strong. With all that pass rushing specialization, they are going to cause problems for smaller quarterbacks. When the defense scores the touchdown that wins the game you have a great defense no doubt, so guess what the whole team needs to do now? Help your offense somehow! Improve that offense and Georgia could take it all this year.

Great defensive game
Georgias offensive play calling was vanilla. They were playing not to lose. Defense did their job and then some. Way too many screens. Very predictable. I know its only the first game (a tough one at that) but, in my opinion, Georgia should have won by 2-3 touchdowns. Offense was moving the ball, play calling was horrible.
Smart had to keep it vanilla so southern Alabama wouldn’t have anything to put on film.
This was a good game
ESPN said it was a beatdown and shared a vid of Loyd smacking down Harry with a cane from Dumb and Dumber, if you can believe that.

Simply put, it’s a good win for Georgia…Congrats! But fortunately this isn’t so much of a bad loss for Clemson, but an opportunity for growth. Both defenses were outstanding and didn’t allow any points but only each allowing “a field goal”…If Clemson wins out, there’s a great possibility they’ll see the Dawgs again! Go Clemson!
Clemson is in the ACC so they shouldn't have any problems, Georgia on the hand in the SEC will have a much tougher time if they can't score more points

I am a die hard Alabama fan. So I’m really into defense. This UGA defense is one of the scariest defensive units I’ve ever seen. They are insane fast and fly to the ball. I knew Kirby Smart would have Georgia on top of the SEC east. To keep an offense like Clemson to zero TDs is huge. The thing that scares me the most is they will just get better as the season goes. You can’t make mistakes on offense against this UGA team or they make you pay.

Clemson being ranked seems to be the biggest upset here. Georgia is gonna be very interesting to watch, especially if the offense develops more than a bit.
Not that mush of an upset, no one really expected the underdawgs to lose, and the offense will be fine when the receivers get out of the hospital. It's tough playing that defense, even in practice.
